HURON — Sioux Falls O’Gorman edged Watertown by two strokes to earn the Huron Invitational boys golf title on Friday.

The Knights carded a 303, finishing two shots ahead of the Arrows at Broadland Creek Golf Course. Harrisburg (317), Brandon Valley (328) and Brookings (334) rounded out the top-five teams.

O’Gorman’s Radley Mauney (73), Taten Mauney (76), Mac Drake (76), Liam Sarmiento (78) and Nolan Cinco (79) were among the top-15 finishers. 

Watertown’s Jake Olson fired a 1-under-par 71 to earn individual medalist honors. Olson’s round included a 36 on the front nine and a 35 on the back nine, while he recorded four birdies. Harrisburg’s Hayden Scott was one shot behind Olson to earn a second-place finish. Scott’s round was highlighted by a 33 on the front nine, while he logged three birdies on the day. 

Radley Mauney, Watertown’s Kaden Rylance and Mitchell’s Lincoln Bates tied for third place with 73s.
