O'Gorman's Will Hurd moves into 86th place at High School Golf National Invitational

PINEHURST, N.C. — Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Will Hurd jumped up nine places after Day 2 of the 2022 Boys High School Golf National Invitational.

Hurd shot a 76 during the second round of the prestigious invitational featuring top high school golfers across the country. Hurd has a 11-over-par 155 and is tied for 86th place, moving up from 95th place after Day 1.  

The invitational is a 3-day, 54-hole stroke play event including team and individual competition. Competition rounds will take place on Pinehurst Resort No. 5, No. 6, and No. 7 courses.

Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Radley Mauney carded a 75 during the second round and is tied for 135th place. Mauney’s round was highlighted by a 34 on the back nine at Pinehurst Resort’s No. 7 course.

Tea Area’s Eric Munson (164, T-175), Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s William Sanford (164, T-175), Tea Area’s Keeton Newborg (165, T-181), Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Jacob Stewart (165, T-181), Tea Area’s Derek Anderson (167, T-193), Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Mac Drake (168, T-200), Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Taten Mauney (169, T-210), Sioux Falls O’Gorman’s Liam Sarmiento (174, T-237) and Tea Area’s Brady Sabers (187, T-289) round out the South Dakota golfers after the second round.
