PHILIP – The Philip boys and Lemmon girls cross-country teams earned titles at the Region 3B meet on Friday at Lake Waggoner Golf Course. 

The Philip boys finished with 12 points, edging Bison (26). Jones County finished third with 40 points. 

The Lemmon girls finished with 12 points to slip past Bison, which scored 23. Newell finished third with 29 points. 

Individually, Bison’s Lane Krautschun claimed the boys region title in 17-minutes and 23 seconds. Newell’s Garret Winker (18:30) and Philip’s Wakely Burns (18:44) placed second and third respectively. Philip athletes Trey Larson (18:51) and Reese Henrie (19:24) rounded out the top-five. 

On the girls side, Philip’s Presley Terkildsen covered the 5,000-meter distance in 20:57. Jones County’s Jolie Dugan (21:16) and Newell’s Rachel Erk (21:42 finished second and third respectively. Lemmon athletes Brynn Odenback (21:58) and Chel Odenbach (22:03) rounded out the top-five.
