PINE RIDGE — Pine Ridge all-stater Marvin Richard III set another scoring record on Saturday.

The junior guard erupted for 62 points in Pine Ridge’s 97-53 win over Lakota Tech, setting the Class A all-time single game scoring record. The previous record was held by West Central’s Josh Mueller and Mahpiya Luta’s Alejandro Rama, with 60 points each. 

Earlier this season, Richard III broke the Lakota Nation Invitational single-game scoring record with a 57-point performance. He’s now had six games of 40 or more points this season. Richard III is averaging 35.2 points per game.
