CHAMBERLAIN — Sioux Valley’s Isabelle Bloker and Miller’s Pierce Baumberger captured individual honors at the Chamberlain Invite on Thursday.

Bloker took home the title with a time of 18:56. Mobridge-Pollock’s Heide Olson (19:29) finished second, followed by Chamberlain runners Kinsey Evans (19:53) and Allison Hough (20:18) in third and fourth place, respectively. Ethan/Parkston’s Ella Pollreisz (20:38) rounded out the top-five runners.

The Cubs finished with a team score of 12, while Kimball/White Lake tallied a score of 25 for second place and Ethan/Parkston scored 29 for third. Sioux Valley (31) and Stanley County (58) round out the top five.

On the boys side, Baumberger claimed individual honors with a time of 16:49. Miller’s Alex Schumacher (17:19) finished second, while Ethan/Parkston’s Evan Bartelt (17:31) took third place. Philip’s Trey Larson (17:44) and Wakely Burns (17:56) placed fourth and fifth, respectively.

Philip captured the team title with a score of 17, while Miller finished in second place with a score of 22. Ethan/Parkston (38) and Kimball/White Lake (60) finished third and fourth, respectively, while Chamberlain (61) rounded out the top-five.


Red Cloud girls win team, individual honors at Custer meet

CUSTER — The Red Cloud girls captured team and individual awards at the Eldon Knudson Invitational Cross Country Meet at Custer on Thursday. 

The Crusaders tallied a team score of 15, followed by Sturgis Brown in second place with a score of 50. Custer (85) and Belle Fourche (120) placed third and fourth, respectively.

Red Cloud’s Jade Ecoffey took home the individual title with a time of 20:18.76. Red Cloud’s Ashlan Blount (20:21.80) and Rarity Cournoyer (21:00.53) finished second and third, while Sturgis Brown’s Keelin Dinkins (21:42.94) and Brinna Sheldon (21:46.70) rounded out the top-five.
