Mobridge-Pollock 40, Redfield 20 

REDFIELD — Mobridge-Pollock pulled away from Redfield for a Friday high school football win. 

Mobridge-Pollock’s Taylon Carmody completed 6 of 18 passes for 164 yards and two passing touchdowns. Jackson Eisemann completed 6 of 8 passes for 195 yards and threw two passing touchdowns. Eisemann added two touchdown catches for 137 yards, while Mack Saxon hauled in two touchdowns receptions and logged 102 receiving yards.

Simon Fried logged six 101 rushing yards and a touchdown. Carter Hintz had nine tackles, while Fried had two interceptions on defense. Jackson Eisemann, Easton Eisemann and Joseph Dutenhoffer each had interceptions. 


Dell Rapids 20, Hot Springs 14

HOT SPRINGS — Jack Henry scored a rushing touchdown with 15 seconds left to lift Class 11A No. 1 Dell Rapids to a Friday night high school football win. 

Henry completed 12 of 19 passes for 191 yards and one passing touchdown. He added 19 rushing yards and the game-winning touchdown. Mason Stubbe rushed for 64 yards on 17 carries and had a rushing score. Stubbe had 52 receiving yards and a touchdown reception. Stubbe added 14 tackles on defense. Tad Tjaden posted 93 receiving yards on seven catches. Cole Ruesink had an interception and a fumble recovery on defense.

For Hot Springs, Camron Maciejewski rushed for 70 yards on 18 carries and had one touchdown. Colin Iverson threw for 35 yards and a touchdown. Braden Peterson added 27 rushing yards. Chaney Klippenstein had 10 tackles. Maciejewski had eight tackles, a fumble recovery and a sack.


Winner 42, Beresford 19

BERESFORD — Four Winner players rushed for 50 or more yards as Class 11B No. 1 Winner overpowered Beresford in high school football action Friday.
Aiden Barfuss led the way with 105 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Karson Keiser added 87 yards and a score with Stratton Morehart (83) and Zac Olson (50) powering the physical Warriors. Keiser added a 72-yard kickoff return for a touchdown for Winner.

Jax Fickbohm led Beresford’s offense with 42 yards rushing and a score. James Malachi added 32 yards rushing for the Watchdogs.  Gavel Valder had an 87-yard kickoff return for a touchdown for the Watchdogs. 

 

Canton 28, Lennox 20

CANTON — Class 11A No. 3 Canton clipped Lennox for a Friday high school football win. 

Canton’s Cain Wallner logged 18 carries for 107 yards and one rushing touchdown, while he hauled in a touchdown reception. Wallner added five tackles on defense. 

For Lennox, Boston Katzer completed 17 of 33 passes for 185 yards and three passing touchdowns. Porter Ihnen caught seven catches for 85 yards and had one touchdown reception. Drake Mikkelsen added 71 receiving yards and two touchdown catches. Tate Gerdes posted 10 tackles, while Ethan Larson had seven tackles and an interception. Lucas Bontje had seven tackles.


Chester 42, Arlington 6

ARLINGTON — The combination of Layke Wold to Jovi Wolf proved unstoppable as Chester got past Arlington in high school football action Friday. 

Wold finished with 174 yards passing and connected with Wolf on touchdown passes of 40, 26, 10 and 18 yards. Running back Garrett Hansen carried the ball 21 times for 151 yards for Chester. Dalton Reiff had 12 tackles to lead Chester. Alfred Frankenhoff added an eight yard touchdown run for Chester. 

For Arlington Jake Burks rushed for 48 yards and scored a touchdown while Caden Murphy and Brecken Vossler combined for 109 yards rushing. Brecken Vossler led the defense with 11 tackles. 

 

Harding County/Bison 32, Lemmon/McIntosh 14

LEMMON — Hayden Pihl tossed three passing touchdowns and Rylee Veal added two rushing touchdowns as Class 9A No. 4 Harding County/Bison stayed undefeated on Friday.

Pihl completed 7 of 12 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns. Veal added 207 rushing yards and two rushing scores. Kaden Green hauled in 87 receiving yards and one touchdown, while Braden Routier added 75 receiving yards and a touchdown catch. Nayati Bickerdyke had a 45-yard touchdown reception. Routier posted 10 tackles on defense. 

For Lemmon/McIntosh, Sawyer Thompson completed 8 of 11 passes for 113 yards and one touchdown. Blake Drayton added 48 rushing yards, 30 receiving yards and a touchdown catch. Blair Ham had 34 receiving yards. Emmitt Maher had nine tackles. Drayton and Trevor Ellingson had interceptions.

Platte-Geddes 17, Kimball/White Lake 14 (2OT)

PLATTE — Caden Oberbroekling hit a 20-yard field goal in the second overtime to propel Platte-Geddes to a Friday high school football win. 

Platte-Geddes’ Jye Bailey posted two passing touchdowns to Tanner Dyk and Kasen Konstanz. 

Kimball/White Lake’s Park Sinclair completed 13 of 26 passes for 165 yards and one passing touchdown. Iden Myers threw 27 yards and a passing touchdown, while he had 96 rushing yards. Nathan Mohnen added 78 receiving yards and a touchdown. Blake Leiferman posted 54 receiving yards and a touchdown. Myers had a team-high 17 tackles, while Lucas Lenz had 11 tackles. Mohnen and Dayn Goodman added 11 and 10 tackles, respectively.

Lyman 34, White River 32 (OT) 

WHITE RIVER — Brayden Oldenkamp’s game-winning two-point conversion lifted Lyman to an overtime win over White River on Friday. Oldenkamp’s touchdown in overtime evened the score at 32-32. 

Oldenkamp logged two rushing touchdowns, one passing and hauled in a 61-yard touchdown reception. Kellen Griffith added a rushing touchdown and Rory McManus hauled in a touchdown reception. 

White River’s Nic Marshall threw three passing touchdowns, while he added a rushing score. Ryatt Wooden Knife rushed for a 61-yard touchdown run.


Corsica-Stickney 54, Centerville 14

CENTERVILLE — After Centerville scored the first touchdown of the game Corsica-Stickney reeled off 40 unanswered points on their way to a Friday night win in high school football. 

While individual stats were not reported for Corsica-Stickney the Jaguars rushed for 352 yards and had seven rushing touchdowns. Corsica-Stickney completed three passes for 70 yards with one touchdown. 

Centerville was led by quarterback Alec Austin who threw for 160 yards with two touchdowns. Noah Schoenfelder caught both of those touchdown passes and finished with 100 yards receiving. Alec Austin had five solo tackles, five assisted tackles, two sacks and two tackles for loss to lead the Centerville defense. 


Deuel 27, Webster Area 15

DEUEL — The Deuel Cardinals scored a pair of second-half touchdowns on their way to a win over Webster Area in high school football action Friday. 

Trey Maaland paced Deuel with 152 yards rushing and two rushing touchdowns. Maaland also passed for 60 yards, throwing a touchdown pass to Brandon Fieber. Freshman Gavin Kloos led Deuel with eight tackles.  

Brent Bearman led the Webster offense with 46 yards rushing. Ian Lesner finished with 112 yards passing. Austin Dorsett had eight tackles to pace the Webster Area defense. 

Elkton-Lake Benton 39, Deubrook Area 30

ELKTON — Class 9AA No. 4 Elkton-Lake Benton outlasted Deubrook Area for a Friday high school football win. 

ELB’s Colt Beck finished 6 of 9 passes for 144 yards and one passing touchdown. He had 35 rushing yards and a rushing score. Blake DeVries finished with 96 rushing yards on 10 carries and scored three touchdowns. Tanner Stein hauled in four catches for 128 yards and a touchdown reception. Teigan Krog logged eight tackles and a sack on defense. DeVries also had eight tackles. Quintin Westley posted two sacks.

For Deubrook Area, Jace Vomacka completed 4 of 14 passes for 134 yards and two passing touchdowns. Gavin Landmark had 52 rushing yards and one touchdown, while Vomacka had 43 rushing yards and a score. Jaxon Quail and Nolan Peterson had touchdown receptions. Quail had 68 receiving yards.

 

Hitchcock-Tulare 56, Waverly-South Shore 38 

TULARE — Class 9B No. 3 Hitchcock-Tulare erupted for 523 total yards in a Friday night high school football win. 

Erik Salmen led the Patriots with 25 carries for 352 yards and four rushing touchdowns. Patrick Maynard added two rushing touchdowns. Payton Chasing Hawk (64 yards) and Brendan Nowell (48 yards) added to the rushing total. 

Nowell completed 6 of 11 passes for 55 yards and two touchdown passes. Salmen and Maynard hauled in touchdown receptions. 

Canistota 57, Florence-Henry 6

CANISTOTA — Class 9A No. 2 Canistota rushed for 224 yards in a Friday night high school football win over Florence-Henry. The Hawks added 136 passing yards. 

Tage Ortman threw a touchdown and had a 68-yard kickoff return for a score. Ty Doblar hauled in a touchdown pass from Ortman. Cayden Scott added a rushing touchdown, while Brady Scott threw two passing touchdowns to Easton Miller. Miller had a rushing touchdown, while Austin Weber and Prayden Acheson both had rushing scores. 

Florence-Henry’s Karter Kohlenberg had a 71-yard kickoff return for a score. James Kahnke had 11 tackles and a sack. Tate Hartley had an interception. 

 

De Smet 57, Oldham-Ramona-Rutland 6

RUTLAND — Britt Carlson tossed four passing touchdowns as Class 9B No. 2 De Smet picked up a Friday night high school win. 

Carlson completed 6 of 6 passes for 147 yards and four passing touchdowns. Trace Van Regenmorter hauled in two touchdown receptions and had nine tackles on defense. Kadyn Fast and Tommy Aughenbaugh caught touchdown receptions. Fast added two kickoff returns for touchdowns. Ganon Henrich had 74 rushing yards and a score. Wyatt Rigge added a rushing touchdown. Gannon Gilligan posted 19 tackles and Slayten Wilkinson logged 15 tackles. 


Vermillion 22, Milbank 20 (OT)

MILBANK — Nolan Nygren’s 12-yard pass to Connor Peterson, and a two-point conversion in overtime proved to be the difference as Vermillion edged Milbank in high school football action Friday. 

Nygren finished the night completing 5-of-11 passes for 66 yards and two touchdowns. Connor Roering hauled in three of those passes for 95 yards. Rollie French had another huge night on defense racking up 13 solo tackles and 16 tackles overall. 

For Milbank, Garrett Mertens completed 10 passes for 105 yards and a touchdown. Mertens also led Milbank in rushing with 97 yards and a touchdown. Emmett Hanson led the defense with two sacks and two tackles for loss. 

 

Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan 8, Parker 6

BRIDGEWATER — Class 11B No. 3 Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan outlasted Parker in Friday high school football action. BEE’s Drake Gustafson scored a first-quarter touchdown run for its lone score. 

Macklen Weber rushed for 59 yards on 15 carries. Kean Stevenson and Jason Zeeb had nine tackles on defense. 

For Parker, Michael Even had its lone touchdown in the second quarter. Even rushed for 95 yards, while Landon Wieman posted 96 passing yards. Levi Wieman and Jake Stone had 13 and 11 tackles, respectively. 


Avon 52, Gayville-Volin 22

AVON — Aziah Meyer piled up 234 rushing yards and five touchdowns as Class 9B No. 4 Avon picked up a high school football win on Friday. 

Tyler Tjeerdsma added 92 rushing yards and had a rushing score. Paxton Bierema passed for 45 yards and threw a passing touchdown to Landon Thury. Bierema added 35 rushing yards. 

For GV, Spencer Kastens completed 11 of 23 passes for 111 yards and one touchdown. He added 92 rushing yards and a score. Hunter Wuebben hauled in a touchdown reception from Karstens, while he added a kickoff return for a score. 

 

Herreid-Selby Area 49, Newell 8

NEWELL — Class 9B No. 5 Herreid-Selby Area rolled past Newell for a Friday high school football win.

Wayde Grage completed 8 of 12 passes for 141 yards and two passing touchdowns. He added 22 rushing yards. Houston Hauge logged seven carries for 68 yards and two rushing scores. Porter Gregg racked up 129 rushing yards on 12 carries and one rushing touchdown. Jared Weisbeck scored two rushing touchdowns, while Kaleb Claymore had 53 rushing yards. 

Cole Zabel and Trevor Gill hauled in touchdown receptions. Gill posted 86 receiving yards. Weisbeck had a team-high 13 tackles and Mason Vetter had an interception. Kaden Sayler had eight tackles.

For Newell, William Juelfs recorded a rushing touchdown.

Gregory 52, Bennett County 0

GREGORY — Gregory blanked Bennett County in Friday high school football action. 

Landon Keiser scored three rushing touchdowns, while he added an interception return for a score. Rylan Peck had a 24-yard touchdown run. Taos Weborg and Lincoln Juracek added touchdowns runs. 

 

Wagner 32, Tripp-Delmont/Armour/Andes Central/Dakota Christian 12

WAGNER — Gannon Knebel logged five touchdowns as Wagner picked up a Friday night high school football win. 

Knebel had four touchdown runs, while he threw a passing touchdown to Shea Kjeldgaard. Mason Reiner had a rushing touchdown and threw a touchdown pass for the Thunderhawks.


Howard 54, Colman-Egan 20

HOWARD — Howard blanked Colman-Egan in Friday high school football action. 

Howard’s Taiden Hoyer completed five passes for 122 yards, while he rushed for 138 yards and scored four touchdowns. Jackson Remmers and Luke Koepsell hauled in touchdown catches from Hoyer. Remmers added a touchdown run and fumble recovery for a score. Kade Grocott and Lucas Feldhaus also had touchdown runs in the win. 

For Colman-Egan, Jack Mousel and Jase Mousel connected on three passing touchdowns.


Sioux Valley 53, Hill City 0

VOLGA — An explosive night from Sioux Valley’s Boden Schiller helped propel Class 11B No. 2 Sioux Valley to a shutout win over Hill City in high school football action Friday. 

Schiller scored three rushing touchdowns while rushing for 44 yards. He also tossed an 89-yard touchdown reception to Maverick Nelson. Nelson had a hand in the defensive effort with a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown. 

Hill City was led by Caleb Sobelik who finished with 54 yards rushing. Ranger quarterback Devin Buehler completed seven passes for 50 yards. 


West Central 35, Madison 7

HARTFORD — A balanced offensive attack helped Class 11A No. 2 West Central power past Madison in high school football action Friday night. 

Quarterback Caden Alfson completed nine passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns. His favorite receiver on the night was Layton Johnson who caught five balls for 102 yards and two scores. Chet Carda led West Central in rushing with 93 yards while Aiden Bartmann ran for 76 yards and Jesse Jost ran for 66 yards. 

For Madison, quarterback Ben Brooks threw for 139 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 22 yards on the night. Shane Veenhof caught five passes for 61 yards and a touchdown. 


Sioux Falls O’Gorman 41, Tea Area 30

SIOUX FALLS — A big night from quarterback Hayden Groos helped Class 11AAA No. 3 Sioux Falls O’Gorman to a win over Class 11AA No. 2 Tea Area in high school football action Friday. 

Groos completed 12 passes for 255 yards and three touchdowns. His favorite receiver Friday was Henry Theobald who caught two touchdown passes and finished with 146 receiving yards. Running back Maverick Jones was a load on the ground Friday rushing for 189 yards and two touchdowns. Keegan DeYoung and Jessen Svanda each grabbed a touchdown pass and combined for 134 yards receiving.
