Sioux Falls Washington trio selected to AVCA All-American volleyball teams

Three Sioux Falls Washington players were named to the 19th annual American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American volleyball teams. 

The Warriors selected were Kaelyn Snoozy, Taryn Kirsch and Cate Legel. Snoozy was a third-team selection, while Kirsch and Legel were honorable mention selections. 

A 5-foot-11 outside hitter, Snoozy will play college volleyball at Division II Concordia-St. Paul. Snoozy has recorded 402 kills, 29 aces, 19 blocks, and 292 digs this season. 

A 5-foot-10 libero, Kirsch will play college volleyball at the University of Illinois. Kirsch has tallied 36 aces, 434 digs and 69 assists this season. 

A 5-foot-10 outside hitter, Legel will play college volleyball at the University of South Dakota. Legel has registered 276 kills, 35 aces, 19 blocks and 245 digs this season.

A total of 1,762 nominations were submitted to the AVCA and MaxPreps, and 121 players were named to the All-America Teams, with another 120 being honorable mention All-American selections.
