SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Valley’s Isabelle Bloker won the girls Region 2A 5,000-meter run at Yankton Trail Park, finishing in 17 minutes and :56.8 seconds. 

Flandreau’s Faith Wiese (18:19.0) and Sioux Falls Christian’s Corinne Braun (18:26.0) finished second and third, respectively. Sioux Falls Christian’s Natalie Smith (18:33.3) and Ellie Maddox (18:58.9) rounded out the top-five runners. 

On the boys side, Sioux Falls Christian’s Levi Vander Leest won the 5,000-meter race in 16:02.01. West Central’s Benjamin Strunk (16:13.8) and Sioux Falls Christian’s Bennett Wassenaar (16:20.5) placed second and third, respectively. West Central’s Jonathon Roth (16:40.8) and Sioux Falls Christian’s Alex Oberloh (16:44.5) rounded out the top-five runners.

The Sioux Falls Christian girls cruised to the team title, finishing with 18 points. Sioux Valley (44) and West Central (54) placed second and third, respectively. Flandreau (62) and Tea Area (71) rounded out the top-five teams. 

The Sioux Falls Christian boys won the team title with 16 points. West Central (38) and Tea Area (59) finished second and third, respectively. Flandreau (87) and Madison (91) rounded out the top-five teams.
