RAPID CITY — Despite not winning an individual championship the Sturgis Scoopers turned back all challengers at this weekend’s Rapid City Invitational. 

Sturgis amassed 201 points, ahead of Thunder Basin, Wyoming and Bismarck, North Dakota. Pierre (165), Philip Area (131.5), Aberdeen Central (126), Custer (124), Tea Area (119.5), Watertown (118.5) and Winner Area (102.5) rounded out the top-ten teams. 

South Dakota boys won eight individual titles with Watertown claiming three of those championships. 

Gage Lohr (120), Sloan Johannsen (126) and Michah Hack (285) all won titles.

Other championships were claimed by Rapid City Central’s Pierce Hurd (106), Pierre’s Tristan Spencer (138), Huron’s Moses Gross (150), Pierre’s Chance Carda (190) and Hot Spring’s Caleb Rickenbach (215).
