Wall girls, Philip boys win Eagle Qualifier track and field titles

WALL — The Wall girls and Philip boys won team titles at Tuesday’s Eagle Qualifier track and field meet. 

The Wall girls recorded 121 points, finishing ahead of Jones County (83) and Lemmon (68). The Philip boys racked up 117 points, finishing ahead of Kadoka Area (66) and Wall (63).

On the girls side, April Schulz won the shot put (33-6.75) and discus (100-3). The Wall girls also won the 800-meter relay (1:50.18) and the 1,600-meter relay (4:18.78). 

Wall’s Nora Dinger won the long jump (16-6) and ran the lead leg on the 800-meter relay team. She also placed third in the 100-meter dash (:13.24). 

Jones County’s Jolie Dugan claimed first-place finishes in the 800-meter run (2:34.83) and the 1,600-meter run (5:55.12). 

Jones County’s Emma Hunt was a double winner in the 100-meter hurdles (:17.28) and 300-meter hurdles (:49.51). 

Bennett County’s Reagan O’Neill won the 100-meter dash (:12.98) and placed second in the 200-meter dash (:26.94). 

Kadoka Area’s Bella Williams won the 200-meter dash (:26.94) and finished second in the 100-meter dash (:13.04). 

Wall’s Rylan McDonnell was a double winner in the 100-meter dash (:11.29) and long jump (22-9). 

Kadoka Area’s Lincoln Koehn was a double winner in the shot put (45-7) and discus (134-1).
