Warner track teams garner team titles at Dial-A-Move Last Chance Meet

WARNER —- The Warner girls and boys track teams both won titles at Tuesday’s Dial-A-Move Last Chance Meet.

The Warner girls racked up 206 points, ahead of Aberdeen Christian (100) and Faulkton Area (98).  Britton-Hecla (95) and Frederick Area (74) rounded out the top five teams.  

The Warner boys scored 166 points, ahead of Hitchcock-Tulare (97) and Northwestern (97). Britton-Hecla (93) and Frederick Area (87) rounded out the top five teams. 

For the Warner girls Kenna Wolberg won the 1,600-meter run (5:40.38) and Kennadee Wagner won the 3,200-meter run (14:01.92). The Warner girls won the 800-meter relay (1:54.50). 

And the 3,200-meter relay (10:19.82), and the sprint medley relay (4:33.29). The Monarchs captured gold in the pole vault (8-8) and Miah Leidholdt in the high jump (4-10.25). Warner also captured gold in the pole vault (8-8). 

Faulkton Area thrower Savanna Hayes won the shot put (34-2), discus (108-10) and javelin (100-1). 

Aberdeen Christian’s Shawnteah La Croix won the 100-meter dash (:12.50), the 200-meter dash (:26.34), ran the opening leg on the winning 400-meter relay (:52.07) and won the long jump (15-10.25). 

Northwestern’s Ella Boekelheide won the 400-meter dash (:59.87), the 800-meter run (2:18.86) and ran a peg on the second place 1,600-meter relay (4:28.10)

For the Warner boys, Payton Volk won the 100-meter dash (:11.53), finished second in the 200-meter dash (24.71), ran a leg on the winning 400-meter relay tea (:46.01). Warner earned wins from Jesiah Baoum in the 400-meter dash (:52.24). Hunter Kramer won the 110-meter hurdles (:15.50) and the javelin (152-6)

Leola picked up wins in the throws from Dustin Wurtz in he shot put (51-9) and discus 9-4). 

Northwestern's Lincoln Woodring won the 800-meter run (1:57.47) and Ty Boekelheide won the triple jump (42-6.5) for the Wildcats. 

Frederick Area’s Brayden Sumption won the long jump (20-7.5).
