With three of the girls wrestling regions set for Thursday athletes have made their final choices for weight classes they will contest at regionals and in the state meet.

One of the notable athletes to bump up a weight class this week was Lemmon’s Quinn Butler. A week ago Butler was the No. 2 ranked wrestler at 132, this week she is ranked No. 2 at 138.

In the final Dakota Grappler poll the Pierre girls continue to be the undisputed favorites to win the state championship. The Governor girls are projected to score 164 points, ahead of Canton (116) and Watertown (110). Lakota Tech (98) and Harrisburg (97) round out the top five teams.
