CORALVILLE, Iowa — On Dec. 2, the Canton wrestling team competed in the Dan Gable Donnybrook tournament. The C-Hawks finished 15th in the team competition, racking up 191 points. 

The C-Hawks had a number of top-10 finishes with Traun Cook earning a third-place finish at 285.

Brandon Valley finishes 5th at Sergeant Bluff-Luton tournament

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Defending Class A champion Brandon Valley finished fifth at Saturday’s Sergeant Bluff-Luton tournament racking up 202 points.

The Lynx had two champions, Beckett Rehorst (106) and Elijah Schunke (190).

Other Brandon Valley placewinners were Brendon Oehme (126), fourth place, Aaron Tucker (132), fourth place, Hayden McQuite (138), third place, Zander Nielsen (144), fourth place, Noah Bailous (215), fourth place. 

Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon girls win Top of the Rock Girls tournament

DELL RAPIDS — The Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon girls made program history Saturday when they won the Top of the Rock tournament in Dell Rapids. 

Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon scored 28 points, ahead of McCook Central/Montrose (16) and Dell Rapids (15).  

Britney Rueb (132) and Peyton Hellmann (138-145) each won titles.
