 Wagner boys, Bon Homme girls claim track titles at LMVC meet
The Wagner boys and Bon Homme girls won track titles at the Little Missouri Valley Conference in Scotland Tuesday.

SCOTLAND — The Wagner boys won the Little Missouri Valley Conference track title Tuesday posting 136.5 team points, ahead of Bon Homme (125) and Avon (123). Andes Central/Dakota Christian (92) and Tripp-Delmont/Armour (60.5) rounded out the top five teams.

The Bon Home girls won the LMVC track title Tuesday with 134 points, ahead of Wagner (113) and Andes Central/Dakota Christian (104). Avon (81) and Scotland.

The Wagner boys earned individual titles from Karstyn Lhotak in the pole vault (10-00) and from Jhett Breen in the 300-meter hurdles (:44.04). Breen ran the opening leg on Wagner’s second place 400-meter relay team (:47.01). The Wagner foursome of Gannon Knebel, Shea Kjeldgaard, Javian Pesicka and Brayden Kreber won the 800-meter relay (1:37.22). 

Avon’s Aziah Meyer was part of three first place finishes for the Pirates winning the 100-meter dash (:11.64), the long jump (19-11.75) and running a leg on the Pirates winning 400-meter relay team (:46.80). Avon’s Al Gunther won the shot put (43-09), the discus (141-04) and the javelin (130-07). 

Tripp-Delmont/Armour’s Isaac Wunder won the 400-meter dash (:55.97) and ran a leg on the winning sprint medley relay team (4:36.25). 

In girls action Bon Homme’s Olivia Bures won the 100-meter dash (13.51), the 200-meter dash (27.98), ran a leg on the winning 400-meter relay team (:52.77) and a leg on the winning 800-meter relay team (1:51.82). Bon Homme also picked up titles from Raelee Lanphear in the 400-meter dash (1:11.21), Claire Gutumiller in the 1,600-meter run (6:21.73), Stacy Ruelas in the 100-meter hurdles (:16.44).

Scotland’s Trinity Bietz won the shot put (38-00.25) and the javelin (104-05).

Andes Central/Dakota Christian looked strong in the longer relays winning titles in the 1,600-meter relay (5:07.27), 3,200-meter relay (11:44.47) and the sprint medley relay (4:57.63).

The Avon girls had a pair of field event wins from Courtney Sees in the long jump (16-03.25) and Kaeli Wallinga in the discus (120-06).
