Lennox 5, Vermillion 1

LENNOX — Mason Reischl struck out 11 batters as Lennox took down Vermillion in high school baseball action Friday.

Reischl allowed one run on four hits and one walk in a complete game outing, striking out 11 in the win.

Talen Eich drove in two runs on one hit, including a double, Cole Spieler added an RBI on a double and a walk while Reischl collected an RBI in the win as well.

For Vermillion, Nolan Nygren suffered the loss in six innings of work, allowing five runs on five hits and a walk, striking out seven.

Cale Cleveland, Nygren, Corbin Heckens and Emerson Jarchow each had a hit in the loss for Vermillion.


Sioux Falls Christian 15, Parker 0 (3 innings)

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Christian took care of Parker in mercy rule fashion during Friday’s high school baseball action.

Jake Humpal took the win on the mound, throwing five strikeouts in two innings of work, allowing one hit and one walk.

Dylan Knecht drove in three runs on a triple, Peter Samp added two RBIs on two hits, Humpal tallied two RBIs on one hit, Tate Connell and Hayden Gorsett each tallied two walks, driving in three combined runs, while Trey Pater, Jackson McCaulley and Caden Kolterman each drove in a run on one hit in the win.

For Parker, Bostyn Knutson allowed 10 runs on four hits and four walks in one inning pitched, striking out two. Knutson tallied the lone hit of the game for Parker in the loss.


Dell Rapids 15, Garretson 0 (3 innings)

DELL RAPIDS — Dell Rapids swept Garretson in a high school baseball doubleheader on Friday.

Ryan Stubbe took the win on the mound in three innings of work, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out three.

Drake Eastman drove in three runs on a triple and two walks, Connor Hanson, Kenny Swanson and Carson Maeschen each drove in a run on a hit and a walk, while Jake Heinitz added two RBIs on a hit and a walk in the win.

For Garretson, Brecken Weir allowed eight runs on four hits and six walks in 1.1 innings, striking out two. Carter Siemonsma tallied the lone hit of the game for the Blue Dragons.


Dell Rapids 10, Garretson 3

DELL RAPIDS — Owen Bollock tossed 11 strikeouts as Dell Rapids rolled past Garretson in a high school baseball doubleheader Friday.

Bollock allowed one unearned run on three hits and two walks, striking out 11 in 6.2 innings pitched.

Carson Maeschen drove in two runs on two hits for DR, Ryan Stubbe added three RBIs on a triple, Gauge Bunkers recorded two hits and an RBI, while Haiden Kaffar, Kenny Swanson and Rhett Thoreson each totaled an RBI on one hit in the win.

For Garretson, Colton Buchholz allowed seven runs on five hits and four walks in 4.2 innings, striking out nine.

Ty VanHolland drove in a run on a double and a walk in the loss.


Elkton-Lake Benton 15, Deuel 5 (5 innings)

ELKTON — Elkton-Lake Benton tallied eight hits and 13 walks to earn a mercy rule win over Deuel in high school baseball action on Friday.

Sam Schuurman tallied two RBIs on two hits, Eian Warren, Eliot Erickson and Adam Kinner each had two RBIs on one hit while Wyatt Osland had an RBi on a hit and two walks in the win. Jack Stein tossed three shutout innings, allowing one hit and one walk, striking out three in the win.

For Deuel, Gabe Van Dyke allowed eight runs on five hits and eight walks in three innings, striking out three. Gray Holden drove in two runs on a double in the loss for Deuel.


West Central 12, Hanson/Bridgewater-Emery 6

HARTFORD — West Central scored 11 unanswered runs to stun Hanson/Bridgewater-Emery in high school baseball action Friday.

CJ Den Boer tallied three hits, one double, and two doubles, Zach Lorang and Taten Van Overbeke each tallied two RBIs on one hit, JT Steckley had two hits and an RBI, Carson Johnson netted an RBI on one hit while Gunnar Alfson and Nick Lorang recorded each recorded an RBI in the win.

Johnson tossed 2.2 innings for West Central, allowing one run on two hits and two walks while striking out three.

For H/BE, Connor Endorf allowed six runs on seven hits and three walks in 4.1 innings, striking out four.

Jackson Weber drove in five runs on a homer and a walk while Carson Kampshoff drove in a run on a hit and a walk in the loss.


Groton Area 16, Miller/Highmore-Harrold/Wolsey-Wessington/Wessington Springs/Faulkton Area 11

MILLER — Groton Area erupted for 15 hits to beat Miller/Highmore-Harrold/Wolsey-Wessington/Wessington Springs/Faulkton Area in high school baseball action Friday.

Nick Groeblinghoff tallied three hits, two doubles, and two RBIs, TC Schuster and Alex Abeln each had two RBIs on two hits and a walk, Case Reints and Lincoln Krause each had an RBI on two hits while Karsten Fliehs added three hits and a walk in the win.

Groeblinghoff earned the win on the mound in 3.1 innings, allowing two runs on three hits and a walk, striking out five.

For M/HH/WW/WS/FA, Jett Kleinsasser took the loss, allowing 13 runs on 11 hits and five walks in 3.1 innings, striking out six.

Chase Hurd drove in three runs on three hits, Kleinsasser added three RBIs on two hits, Cody and Carter Fanning each had an RBI on one hit while G Runge drove in a run on two walks in the loss.


Baltic 2, McCook Central/Montrose 1 (8 innings)

BALTIC — Baltic earned a walk-off win over McCook Central/Montrose in high school baseball action Friday.

Isaac Oakley tossed seven strong innings for the Bulldogs, allowing one run on five hits and a walk, striking out nine in the win. Laken Kortemeyer drove in a run on one hit and one walk while Elias Oakley and Jackson Goehring each had a hit in the win.

For MCM, Clayten Hoffman allowed two unearned runs on three hits and six walks in 7.2 innings, striking out nine.

Hayes Erickson tallied two hits while Bennett Graff hit an RBI-double in the loss.


Beresford Area 7, Elk Point-Jefferson 5

BERESFORD — Beresford Area scored four runs in the sixth inning to stun Elk Point-Jefferson in high school baseball action on Friday.

Noah Schroeder tallied three RBIs on two hits and two walks while Cameron Mullinix tallied an RBI as well for Beresford Area. Ashton Oberele earned the win on the mound in three innings of work, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk, striking out three.

For EPJ, Luke Swatek took the loss in one inning of work, allowing one unearned run on one hit.

Drew Geary drove in a run on two hits and a walk while Kyson Crippen and Carson Jacobs each had an RBI on one hit in the loss.


Watertown 6, Brookings 4

BROOKINGS — Watertown held off a late comeback to take game one of a high school baseball doubleheader against Brookings on Friday.

Hunter Halajian took the win on the mound in six innings of work, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks, striking out six. Jackson McClemans drove in two runs on two hits, Jonathan Lake added two hits, a double, and an RBI while Cole Hansen tallied an RBI on a hit and two walks in the win.

For Brookings, Nolan Krogman took the loss, allowing six runs on six hits and four walks in five innings, striking out five.

Jase Bauer tallied an RBI on two hits while Baker Hanson collected two hits in the loss for the Bobcats.


Watertown 8, Brookings 7

BROOKINGS — Watertown clipped Brookings in the second game of a high school baseball double header Friday.

Kooper Heiser took the win on the mound in six innings of work, allowing seven runs on four hits and four walks, striking out four.

Cain Everson and Sam Olson each had two RBIs on one hit and one walk in the win, Max Sears added an RBI on two hits and a walk while Jonathan Lake and Cole Hanson each had an RBI in the win.

For Brookings, Jones Huntimer allowed two runs on five walks in one inning to take the loss on the mound.

Nolan Wagner and Nolan Krogman each had an RBI on a hit while Jase Bauer drove in two runs in the loss.


Sioux Falls Lincoln 9, Huron 4

HURON — Murphy Eisenberg drove in three runs as Sioux Falls Lincoln took game one of a high school baseball doubleheader on Friday.

Eisenberg tallied three RBIs on three hits and a walk in the win, Kale Meyer had three hits, Opland Sonnichsen tallied two RBIs on a hit and a walk, Jude Timat recorded two hits while Malachi Wright netted an RBI on two hits in the win.

Jacksyn Raak took the win on the mound in 5.2 innings pitched, allowing four runs on five hits and seven walks, striking out six.

For Huron, Nolan Stahly allowed eight runs on 12 hits and two walks in six innings, striking out one.

Tyce Huber had two hits, Zach Scheer collected two hits, a double, and an RBI while Tommie Martin added an RBI on a hit and a walk in the loss.


Huron 11, Sioux Falls Lincoln 10 (5 innings)

HURON — Huron hung on to beat Sioux Falls Lincoln in the second game of a high school baseball doubleheader on Friday.

Oakley Anderson, Parker Bischoff and Elijah Schreeve each had two RBIs on one hit, Zach Scheer collected two hits and an RBI while Tommie Martin had an RBI on one hit in the win.

Anderson took the win on the mound in one inning pitched, allowing four runs on one hit and four walks.

For Lincoln, Jack Robbins took the loss, allowing eight runs on two hits and four walks in two innings, striking out four.

Opland Sonnichsen had two hits and two RBIs, Murphy Eisenberg netted two doubles and an RBI, Cooper Hicks collected two RBIs on a double and two walks while Kale Meyer, Colin Lunders and Jude Timat each had an RBI on one hit in the loss.


Pierre 2, Spearfish 1

PIERRE — Will Danburg tossed a complete game on the mound as Pierre topped Spearfish in high school baseball action Friday.

Danburg finished with one earned run on four hits and three walks in seven complete innings, striking out four to earn the win on the mound.

Tripp Lindekugel drove in a run on two hits, one triple, while Parker O’Bryan added an RBI on one hit as well.

For Spearfish, Sean Sewell took the loss, allowing two unearned runs on five hits and two walks in six innings, striking out four.

Jack Scharf, Sewell, Tucker Olson and Bray Bowar each had a hit in the loss.


Pierre 6, Spearfish 2

PIERRE — B McCullough’s complete game on the mound powered Pierre over Spearfish in high school baseball action Friday.

McCullough allowed two runs on four hits and a walk in seven innings of work, striking out six.

Will Danburg tallied three hits, including a triple, Brecken Fuhrman added two hits, Sutton Sonnenschein tallied two RBIs on one hit, while Hudson Shaffer and Hudson Stoeser each drove in a run on one hit in the win.

For Spearfish, Tucker Viessman allowed four runs on three hits and a walk in two innings to take the loss. Viessman drove in a run on one hit while Connor Johnson added an RBI in the loss.


Harrisburg 4, Brandon Valley 3

HARRISBURG — Wyatt Witwicki’s walk-off solo home run powered Harrisburg over Brandon Valley in high school baseball action on Friday.

Witwicki finished with one hit, driving in the game-winning run on a homer in the win, Nick Riley added an RBI on one hit while Bryson Esser recorded an RBI on two hits and a walk for Harrisburg. Kade Wede tossed 5.1 innings, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk, striking out 10 in the win.

For BV, Bryton Stroh suffered the loss in two innings of relief, allowing one run on one hit and one walk, striking out three. Jack Blomgren drove in a run on one hit while Stroh tallied a triple in the loss.


Rapid City Stevens 11, Mitchell 6

MITCHELL — A six-run seventh inning powered Rapid City Stevens over Mitchell in high school baseball action on Friday.

Caidan Comparetto tallied two hits and two RBIs in the win, Tucker Waddell collected two hits and an RBI, Austin Flohr and Isaac Robinnson each had an RBI on one hit while Ben Thompson, Trevor Schlosser and Bridger Mez each had an RBI on a walk in the win.

Conor Konvalin pitched 5.2 innings in the win, allowing six runs on six hits and three walks, striking out six.

For Mitchell, Carter McCormick allowed five runs on four hits and five walks in five innings of work, striking out five.

McCormick tallied two hits, Kaiden Allen had two hits and an RBI while Stratton Forst and Ethan Hegg each had an RBI on one hit in the loss.
