Rapid City Stevens 13, Rapid City Christian 3 (6 innings)

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Stevens totaled 12 hits and nine walks to beat Rapid City Christian in high school baseball action on Wednesday.

Austin Flohr led the Raiders with three hits, a double and a walk with two RBIs, Brady Waddell and Bridger Mez each had an RBI on two hits, including a triple from Waddell, Trevor Schlosser drove in two runs on a hit and a walk, Conor Konvalin tallied an RBI on one hit while Tucker Waddell, Karter Brager and Caidan Comparetto each had an RBI in the win.

Mason Knutson took the win on the mound in six innings of work, allowing three runs on six hits and four walks, striking out three.

For RCC, Jackson Winter took the loss allowing seven runs on seven hits and a walk in one inning pitched. Joe Samuelson had two hits while Patrick Pfannenstein and Winter each drove in a run on one hit in the loss.


Freeman/Canistota/Marion 8, Parkston/Ethan 4

CANISTOTA — Tayden Kerrigan tossed 10 strikeouts as Freeman/Canistota/Marion rolled past Parkston/Ethan in high school baseball action on Wednesday.

Kerrigan allowed four runs on eight hits and two walks in six innings of work, striking out 10 in the win. Riley Tschetter drove in three runs on a triple, Luke Peters added two RBIs on two hits, Kerrigan drove in a run on one hit, while Easton Miller and Riley Gall each had an RBI in the win.

For PE, Grady Bowar suffered the loss, allowing seven runs on five hits and a walk in three innings, striking out one.

Gage Reichert and Brycen Bruening each had two hits and an RBI, including two doubles from Reichert, while Wyatt Anderson drove in a run in the loss.


Dell Rapids 12, Beresford Area 5

DELL RAPIDS — Dell Rapids exploded for 13 hits and five walks as the Quarriers defeated Beresford Area in high school baseball action on Wednesday.

Jackson Peppel batted 4-for-4 with a walk, Kenny Swanson added three RBIs on two hits, one double, Carson Maeschen recorded three hits, a double, and an RBI, Connor Hanson had two RBIs on one hit, Drake Eastman added two RBIs on two walks while Gauge Bunkers had two hits, a walk, and an RBI in the win.

Bunkers took the win on the mound in five innings pitched, allowing four runs on five hits and six walks while striking out three.

For BA, Kasen Voss allowed nine runs on 10 hits and five walks in 4.1 innings, striking out three.

Ashton Oberle had two hits, a walk and an RBI, Evan Rosheim and Noah Schoenfelder each had an RBI on one hit while Voss and Boston Jensen each had an RBI in the loss.


Sioux Valley 5, Elkton-Lake Benton 2 (8 innings)

ELKTON — A three-run eighth-inning separated Sioux Valley from Elkton-Lake Benton in high school baseball action on Wednesday.

Braden Danzeisen and Isaac Skovlund each drove in a run on one hit, Broden Teske drove in a run while Kade Hauck tallied two hits in the win. Hauck earned the win on the mound in two innings of work, allowing one run on one hit and one walk, striking out two.

For ELB, Eliot Erickson took the loss in two innings of work, allowing three runs on one hit and five walks, striking out three.

Colt Beck had three hits for ELB while Sam Schuurman and Jack Stein each had an RBI on one hit in the loss.


Vermillion 4, Scotland/Menno 0

SCOTLAND — Jackson Beacom tossed seven shutout innings as Vermillion blanked Scotland/Menno in high school baseball action on Wednesday.

Beacom allowed just two hits in seven shutout innings on just 74 pitches, striking out four batters to earn the win on the mound.

Trey Hansen had two hits, a double, and an RBI while Corbin Heckens drove in a run as well.

For SM, Garret Lehr allowed four runs on five hits and a walk in five innings of work, striking out three.

Riley Keppen and Kolton Bierle each had a hit in the loss.


Sioux Falls Christian 5, Tri-Valley 3

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Christian tossed 13 strikeouts as the Chargers defeated Tri-Valley in high school baseball action on Wednesday.

Peter Samp took the win on the mound in four innings of work, allowing one unearned run on two hits and four walks, striking out six. Maddux Munson added 2.2 shutout innings, allowing just two walks while striking out seven.

Tate Connell had two hits, a double, a walk and an RBI while Harrison Nickles and Jake Humpal each drove in a run on one hit in the win.

For TV, Kade Oehlke allowed five runs on eight hits and four walks in 3.1 innings, striking out three.

Brody Dybvig had two hits, one double, while Treyson Richter drove in a run on one hit and two walks in the loss.


Groton Area 14, Warner/Ipswich/Northwestern 5 (9 innings)

NORTHVILLE — Groton Area erupted for nine runs in the ninth inning to separate from Warner/Ipswich/Northville in high school baseball action on Wednesday.

Alex Abeln had three hits and an RBI in the win, Lincoln Krause had three hits, Gavin Englund recorded two RBIs on two doubles and a walk, Jordan Schwan collected three RBIs on a triple and a walk, Karsten Fliehs added an RBI on one hit while TC Schuster and Nick Groeblinghoff combined for three RBIs on three walks in the win.

Englund earned the win on the mound in 3.1 innings of relief, allowing just two hits while striking out six. Jarrett Erdmann started for the Tigers, allowing five runs on five hits and three walks, striking out 13 batters.

For WIN, Quinn Huetl surrendered the loss, allowing six runs on two hits and two walks in 0.2 innings. Chays Mansfield drove in three runs on a homer and a walk, Alec Mikkelson tallied two hits while Lincoln Kroll collected two hits and an RBI in the loss.


Colman-Egan/Flandreau 19, Deuel 3 (5 innings)

CLEAR LAKE — Colman-Egan/Flandreau exploded for 21 hits as it defeated Deuel in high school baseball action on Wednesday.

Xavier Bien batted 4-for-5 with a homer and four RBIs, Alex Poitra collected four hits, a double, and three RBIs, Tyton Peters had two RBIs on three hits and a walk, Jaden Eng collected three hits, a walk, and an RBI, Trevor Peters and Brody Johnson each had two hits and an RBI, Tucker Hemmer drove in a run on a double, Braysn Gould tallied an RBI on a walk while Tate Hammer added two hits and a walk in the win.

Trevor Peters took the win on the mound in two innings of work, allowing one run on three walks while striking out four.

For Deuel, Troy Jenson took the loss , allowing 10 runs on 12 hits and two walks in 2.2 innings, striking out one. Owen Haas drove in the lone run of the game for the Cardinals.


Sisseton/Britton-Hecla/Webster 11, Clark Area 1 (5 innings)

SISSETON — Carter Stickland collected four hits and two RBIs as Sisseton/Britton-Hecla/Webster rolled past Clark Area in high school baseball action on Wednesday.

Stickland batted 4-for-4 with a double and two RBIs in the win, Dylan Redler added two RBIs on two hits and a walk, Mitchell Burger collected two RBIs on a hit and two walks while Max Dahlen, LJ Crooks and Will Richter each had an RBI in the win.

Crooks took the win on the mound in three innings of work, allowing one run on three hits and a walk, striking out two.

For CA, Teague Stevenson allowed eight runs on four hits and five walks in 2.1 innings, striking out three. Damian Severson had an RBI-single while Cooper Pommer collected two hits in the loss.


Watertown 7, Aberdeen 5

ABERDEEN — Ashton Rabine struck out eight batters in four innings as Watertown topped Aberdeen in high school baseball action on Wednesday.

Rabine took the win on the mound in four innings of work, allowing one run on three hits and five walks, striking out eight in the win.

Jackson McClemans had three hits for the Arrows, Jonathan Lake added two hits, Cain Everson totaled two hits, a double, and an RBI, Markus Pitkin had three RBIs on a double and a walk, Cole Hansen tallied an RBI on a hit and two walks while Carter Buisker drove in a run in the win as well.

For Aberdeen, JaSean Rivera took the loss in one inning of work, allowing three runs on three hits and four walks, striking out two.

Levi Hoffman had two hits, a double and a walk, driving in two runs, Rivera added two RBIs on one hit while Karson Borge netted an RBI on one hit in the loss.

 

Aberdeen 8, Watertown 5

ABERDEEN — Aberdeen split a high school baseball doubleheader with Watertown on Wednesday.

Ridley Waldo pitched five innings in the win, allowing five runs on three hits and seven walks, striking out four.

Joe Cogley had two hits, one double, a walk and an RBI, Jackson Post tallied two RBIs on a double while Will Haskell and Michael Dutenhoffer each had an RBI in the win.

For Watertown, Cain Everson took the loss in 4.1 innings, allowing eight runs on five hits and three walks, striking out six.

Carter Buisker tallied three hits and an RBI, Markus Pitkin added an RBI on one hit while Sam Olson tallied two walks and an RBI for the Arrows.


Brookings 14, Huron 7

BROOKINGS — Brookings scored nine runs in the final two innings to beat Huron in high school baseball action on Wednesday.

Nolan Krogman had two RBIs on two hits, Ben Schulte tallied two RBIs on a homer and a walk, Nolan Wagner added two hits, a walk, and an RBI, Baker Hanson had two RBIs on two walks while Jase Bauer, Jude Meendering and Noah Lease each had an RBI on one hit in the win.

Wagner earned the win on the mound in six innings of work, allowing seven runs on 10 hits and four walks, striking out four.

For Huron, Crayton Siedschlag took the loss, allowing four unearned runs on two hits and two walks in 2.1 innings, striking out two.

Zach Scheer tallied four hits, a double, and an RBI, Tommie Martin and Chase Schuchhardt each had two hits and an RBI, Siedschlag added two RBIs on a double while Jackson Ford drove in a run in the loss.


Brookings 15, Huron 0 (3 innings)

BROOKINGS — Brookings scored nine runs in the third inning to earn a mercy rule win over Huron in high school baseball action on Wednesday.

Andrew Heinze tallied three hits and an RBI, Nolan Krogman collected two hits and an RBI, Baker Hanson, Ben Schulte and Noah Lease each drove in a run on one hit while Jase Bauer and Ryder Anderson each drove in a run on one walk in the win.

Jones Huntimer earned the victory on the mound in three shutout innings, allowing four hits and four walks while striking out five.

For Huron, Nolan Stahly took the loss in two innings of work, allowing nine runs on eight hits and two walks, striking out one. Zach Scheer had two hits in the loss for the Tigers.
