Team Deal, Team Morrison split Great Plains All-Star basketball games in White River

WHITE RIVER — Team Deal put on a shooting clinic at the Great Plains All-Star basketball games on April 22. 

Team Deal defeated Team Morrison, 144-94, in the boys all-star game. Team Deal finished with 27 3-pointers. 

Pine Ridge’s Marvin Richard III tossed in 53 points and nine 3-pointers for Team Deal. Richard III was named the Team Deal MVP.

Mahpiya Luta’s Braylon Little scored 27 points and hit three 3-pointers. Pine Ridge’s Donnie Ghost Dog added 17 points and three 3-pointers. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte’s Damien Clown had 11 points and three 3-pointers. New Underwood’s Zach Henriksen had 12 points and three 3-pointers. CEB’s Levi Elk Nation had eight points. Todd County’s Ciante Black Spotted Horse scored eight points. Viborg-Hurley’s Braydyn Morrison had seven points. 

For Team Morrison, Little Wound’s Riley Casey scored 33 points and four 3-pointers. Casey was named the Team Morrison MVP. 

St. Francis’ Roger Roether III scored 15 points. Jones County’s Bryer Kinsley finished with 14 points and three 3-pointers. White River’s Trey Rattling Leaf had eight points. Little Wound’s Dylan Ferguson scored six points. St. Francis’ Jordan Larvie scored five points. Kadoka Area’s Kole Hermann had five points. 

Henriksen won the slam dunk contest and Black Spotted Horse won the boys 3-point contest. 

In the girls game, Team Morrison defeated Team Deal, 89-75.

Mahpiya Luta’s Ashlan Carlow-Blount tossed in 35 points and hit four 3-pointers. She was named the Team Morrison MVP. 

Mahpiya Luta’s Dorthie Mesteth had 20 points and three 3-pointers. Rapid City Stevens’ Hayden Thorton scored 15 points. Highmore-Harrold’s Addison McDonnell had 12 points. Faith’s Whitnie Veit scored five points. 

For Team Deal, Highmore-Harrold’s Autumn Fallis scored 21 points and was named team MVP. Mahpiya Luta’s Mya Mills had 19 points. Mahpiya Luta’s Shania Ferguson scored 15 points. Philip’s Drew Terkildsen and Kadoka Area’s Shaylee Porch scored six points apiece. Veit won the girls 3-point contest. 

The teams were coached by White River legend Tuffy Morrison and Ryan Deal of 605 Sports.
