Rapid City Stevens 8, Sturgis Brown 2

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Stevens beat Sturgis Brown in high school baseball action on Thursday.

Tucker Waddell led the Raider offense batting 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs, Trevor Schlosser added an RBI on a walk while Isaac Robinnson had an RBI on one hit in the win.

Conor Konvalin earned the win on the mound in four innings of work, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks, striking out eight.

For SB, Tate Johnson allowed three runs on one hit and three walks in three innings, striking out five.

Easton Sabers, Elijah Stroud and Ethan Cermak each had one hit in the loss.


Elk Point-Jefferson 2, Tri-County 1

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson clipped Tri-County in high school baseball action on Thursday.

Luke Swatek took the win on the mound in two innings of relief, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out three.

Nick Prouty collected an RBI on one hit while Brody Van Roekel and Drew Geary each had a hit in the win.

For TC, Kyson Mansfield allowed two runs on three hits and four walks in six innings, striking out nine in the loss.

Noah Hansen drove in a run on two hits in the loss.


Elk Point-Jefferson 4, Tri-County 3 (5 innings)

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson clipped Tri-County in high school baseball action on Thursday.

Grady Rozell drove in two runs on one hit while Jack LaFrarrier added an RBI on one hit and one walk in the win.

Jaice Lynch earned the win on the mound in two innings of work, allowing three hits while striking out four.

For TC, Ryder Henriksen allowed four unearned runs on three hits and a walk in 0.2 innings in the loss.

Ethan Richard had three hits while Trey Bernatow drove in a run in the loss.


Sioux Valley 20, Deuel 0 (3 innings)

CLEAR LAKE — Bret Milton totaled five RBIs as Sioux Valley blew past Deuel in high school baseball action on Thursday.

Milton drove in five runs on two hits, one triple, and a walk in the win, Damon Uecker added two hits, a double, walk and an RBI while Ashton Warne, Braden Danzeisen, Broden Teske, Trentyn Schmit and Maxwell Jennen each had an RBI on one hit in the win.

Andrew Gunderson took the win on the mound in three shutout innings, allowing two hits while striking out three.

For Deuel, Jayden King took the loss in 1.1 innings, allowing 13 runs on five hits and nine walks.

Ryker Guager and Kolten Fieber each had a hit in the loss.


Bon Homme 6, Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney 4

CORSICA — Four different batters drove in a run as Bon Homme defeated Mount Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney in high school baseball action on Thursday.

Major Aarstad, Madden Werkwan, Cooper Mudder and Isaiah Crownover each had an RBI on one hit in the win.

Crownover tossed six innings in the win, allowing three runs on 10 hits and two walks, striking out three.

For MVPCS, Max Vanden Hoek allowed six runs on seven hits and seven walks in five innings.

Ethan Hoffman had two hits and an RBI, Mason Degeest added an RBI on a hit and a walk while Slater Lefers and Vanden Hoek each had two hits in the loss.


Warner/Ipswich/Northwestern 13, Miller/Highmore-Harrold/Wolsey-Wessington/Wessington Springs/Faulkton Area 3 (5 innings)

NORTHVILLE —Alec Mikkelsen and Lincoln Kroll drove in six combined runs as Warner/Ipswich/Northwestern defeated Miller/Highmore-Harold/Wolsey-Wessington/Wessington Springs/Faulkton Area in high school baseball action.

Mikkelsen and Kroll each had three RBIs on two hits, including a triple from Mikkelsen, Jacob Schmidt had three hits and two RBIs, Logan Fischbach had an RBI on one hit while Mac Heinz drove in two runs on a hit and two walks in the win.

Heinz pitched four innings, allowing three runs on four hits and seven walks, striking out seven in the win.

For M/H-H/W-W/WS/FA, Chase Hurd allowed seven runs on six hits and a walk, striking out four in the loss.

Hurd drove in a run on one hit in the loss.


Vermillion 10, Dakota Valley 3

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Nolan Nygren tossed nine strikeouts as Vermillion rolled to a high school baseball win over Dakota Valley on Thursday.

Nygren took the win on the mound in five innings of work, allowing two unearned wins on three hits and five walks, striking out nine.

Trey Hansen batted 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs, Nygren added three RBIs on a triple and a walk, Corbins Hecken added three RBIs on two hits and a walk, Cooper Reiser had three hits and a walk while Cale Cleveland collected an RBI-walk in the win.

For DV, Noah Graham allowed five runs on seven hits and three walks in five innings of work, striking out six.

Sterling Schauff and Jack Jones each drove in a run on one hit in the loss.


Sisseton/Britton-Hecla/Webster 6, Clark Area 0

SISSETON — Chaz Vietor tossed seven shutout innings as Sisseton/Britton-Hecla/Webster shutout Clark Area in high school baseball action Thursday.

Vietor allowed just four hits in seven shutout innings on just 62 pitches, striking out two in the win.

Colton Chapin, LJ Crooks and Will Richter each had an RBI on one hit, L Nelson had two hits and a walk while Max Dahlen drove in a run in a walk.

For CA, Charlie Luvaas allowed six runs on four hits and three walks in six innings of work, striking out seven in the loss.

Luvaas had two hits in the loss for Clark Area.


Belle Fourche 15, Custer 4 (5 innings)

BELLE FOURCHE — Belle Fourche exploded for 16 hits as the Broncs rolled over Custer in high school baseball action on Thursday.

Graham VanderBoom and Urijah Hamilton each had three hits and an RBI, Carsyn Hahne added two hits and an RBI, Izaac Runyan totaled two RBIs on two hits, while Tate Thomsen, Jacob Nash, and Tyson Kracht each had an RBI on one hit in the win.

Teagan Carbajal tossed three innings, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks, striking out five in the win.

For Custer, Jayse Noem allowed 13 runs on 12 hits and two walks in three runs, striking out six in the loss.

Noem drove in three runs on two doubles, Henry Bell had an RBI on a hit and a walk while Adam Adler and Jaden Chee each tallied two hits in the loss.


O’Gorman 5, Sioux Falls Lincoln 4

SIOUX FALLS — A walk-off wild pitch pushes O’Gorman over Sioux Falls Lincoln in high school baseball action on Thursday.

Bennett Duncan had two hits and two RBIs in the win for the Knights while Jack Canfield and Sam Donohoe each had an RBI on one hit for the Knights.

Cooper Hermanson took the win on the mound in 3.1 innings, allowing two unearned runs on two hits and a walk, striking out four.

For Lincoln, Opland Sonnichsen allowed one run on two hits and a walk in the 0.1 innings of relief.

Sonnichsen added an RBI on a hit and two walks, Murphy Eisenberg had two hits, Colin Lunders collected an RBI on a hit and a walk while Cooper Hicks had an RBI on a walk in the loss.


Sioux Falls Roosevelt 7, Harrisburg 4

HARRISBURG — Nick Riedemann tossed 6.1 strong innings as Sioux Falls Roosevelt knocked off Harrisburg in high school baseball action on Thursday.

Riedemann allowed four runs on six hits and three walks in 6.1 innings, striking out nine in the win.

Carson Breidenbach had two hits, a double, and two RBIs for the Rough Riders, Chris Logue added two doubles and two RBIs, Tucker DeHaan had two RBIs on a homer, Jack Hille collected an RBI on one hit while Connor McGinnis totaled an RBI in the win.

For Harrisburg, Nick Riley allowed six runs on four hits and four walks in five innings, striking out three.

Noah Rutten had two hits while Gavin Weir, Wyatt Witwicki and Griffen Schlapkohl each drove in a run on one hit in the loss.


Spearfish 6, Rapid City Central 5

SPEARFISH — Walker Viessman drove in three runs as Spearfish clipped Rapid City Central in high school baseball action on Thursday.

Viessman had three RBIs on two hits, including a double in the win, Darin Crooks had two hits and an RBI while Cooper Chase added two hits for the Spartans.

Sean Sewell took the win on the mound in five innings of work, allowing five runs on seven hits and a walk, striking out six.

For RCC, Laken Uttecht allowed five runs on five hits and a walk in three innings pitched, striking out two.

Brody Pourier had three RBIs on two hits while Steven Solano added two RBIs on a triple and a homer in the loss.


Sioux Falls Jefferson 10, Sioux Falls Washington 0 (6 innings)

SIOUX FALLS — Everett Salonen tossed 10 strikeouts as Sioux Falls Jefferson blanked Washington in high school baseball action on Thursday.

Salonen allowed just two hits in six shutout innings, tossing 10 strikeouts to earn the win on the mound.

Brody Jacobson tallied three hits, a double, and an RBI, Easton Riley and Noah Kuenzi each drove in two runs on one hit while Maddox Zens had an RBI-walk in the win.

For Washington, Briar Rave allowed six runs on four hits and two walks in 3.2 innings, striking out two.

Brekken Biteler and Sajen Haas each had a hit in the loss.
