Four Corners 8, Lennox/Chancellor/Worthing Dirt Devils 4

BRANDON — Jack Van Camp struck out 12 batters as Four Corners picked up a Class B amateur baseball tournament win on Saturday.

Van Camp allowed five hits, one earned run and walked five batters on 152 pitches. River Iverson and Matt Lusk finished with three hits apiece, while Lusk drove in three runs. Sam Hand added two hits and drove in two runs. Brad Hand had two hits. Andrew Coverdale and Gus Stout each had hits, while Stout knocked in a run.

For LCW, Quinten Evers had two hits and drove in a run. Talon Eich drove in a run, while Peyton Garbers and Brett Duncan each had hits. Dylan Vosberg allowed five hits, four earned runs, two walks and struck out two batters in 1.1 innings for the loss. 


Platte Killer Tomatoes 12, Redfield Dairy Queen 3

BRANDON — Grant Doom struck out 12 batters and Platte totaled 12 hits in a Class B amateur baseball tournament win on Saturday.

Doom allowed one hit, one earned run, nine walks and struck out 12 batters in 5.2 innings for the win. Doom also went 2-for-4, drove in three runs and hit a solo home run. 

Hunter Hewitt totaled three hits and smacked a three-run homer. Richard Sternberg and Michael Buitenbos had two hits, while Buitenbos drove in a run. Preston Nedved and Dawson Hoffman drove in runs. Hoffman struck out two batters, allowed four hits, zero earned runs and walked one batter in 3.1 relief innings.

For Redfield, Nolan Gall, Cooper Hainy and Keaton Rohlfs each drove in runs. Connor Osborn, Bennett Osborn, Peyton Osborn and Noah Hainy had hits. Gall took the loss after allowing two hits, five earned runs, five walks and struck out one batter in one inning. 


Humboldt/Hartford Gamecocks 8, Larchwood (Iowa) Diamonds 2

BRANDON — Blake Svoboda struck out 12 batters in a complete-game performance as the Humboldt/Hartford Gamecocks won a Class B amateur baseball win on Saturday.

Svoboda allowed eight hits, two earned runs and walked four batters on 132 pitches. 

Joe Hanisch and D. Garry drove in three runs apiece. Garry hit a solo home run. J. Rechtenbaugh added two hits.

For Larchwood, Keaton Grevengoed had two hits. Mitch Peschon smacked a solo home run. Brian Wede struck out eight batters, allowed eight hits, six earned runs and walked one batter in 7.2 innings. 

 

Tabor Bluebirds 11, Wessington Springs Owls 1 (7 innings)

BRANDON — Matt Brown drove in four runs on four hits as Tabor defeated Wessington Springs in Class B amateur baseball action on Saturday.

Brown finished 4-for-4. Joey Slama added three hits and one RBI. Riley Rothschadl and Derek Quame each had hits. Quame drove in a run. Bryce Scieszinski struck out nine batters, allowed six hits, one earned run and walked two batters in a complete-game performance. 

For Wessington Springs, Bryce Larson had two hits and drove in a run. Parker DeJean struck out two batters, allowed six hits, six earned runs and four walks in 3.1 innings.
