Hanson 2, Wessington Springs 1

ALEXANDRIA — Hanson picked up a 2-1 win over Wessington Springs at the Hanson Early Bird tournament on Tuesday. The set scores were 24-26, 25-23 and 25-17.

Hanson’s Annalyse Weber finished with eight kills, 18 digs and three aces. Jalyn Kampshoff logged 23 assists and recorded her 1,000th career assist. Jersey Kampshoff added 24 digs and Cadence Jarding had 14 digs. Kylie Haiar had nine kills and Erin Dewald finished with two blocks. 

Wessington Springs’ Avery Orth finished with nine kills, eight blocks, 12 digs and two aces. Raylee Fagerhaug finished with 14 digs. Alyssa Grohs added 11 assists and five aces. Ashlyn Weber had nine digs and Mariah Messmer had five digs. 


Hanson 2, Avon 0

ALEXANDRIA — Hanson swept Avon at the Hanson Early Bird on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-23 and 25-17.

Hanson’s Jalyn Kampshoff finished with 14 assists, while Annalyse Weber logged eight kills. Erin Dewald logged five blocks. Cadence Jarding had 19 digs and Jersey Kampshoff finished with 17 digs. 

Avon’s Courtney Sees recorded nine kills and nine digs. McKenna Kocmich finished with eight assists and seven digs. Lila Vanderlei posted five kills, two digs and one block. Grace Vanderlei had seven digs, while Sara Swier finished with six digs.

Platte-Geddes 2, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 0

ALEXANDRIA — Platte-Geddes swept Andes Central/Dakota Christian in straight sets at the Hanson Early Bird tournament on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-11 and 25-9. 

Platte-Geddes’ Regan Hoffman finished with six kills and seven digs. Karly VanDerWerff added four kills and seven digs. Cadence VanZee logged four kills, four digs and three aces. Baleigh Nachtigal added four assists and four digs. Hadley Hanson logged five digs. Avery DeVries posted 19 assists. 

ACDC’s Claire Johnson and Abigail Svatos finished with two kills apiece. Mahpiya Irving finished with three digs, while Josie Brouwer added two assists and two digs. Syrianna Never Misses A Shot added four digs. 


Platte-Geddes 2, Freeman 0

ALEXANDRIA — Platte-Geddes swept Freeman in straight sets at the Hanson Early Bird tournament on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-15 and 25-10. 

Platte-Geddes’ Cadence VanZee finished with six kills, 10 digs and three aces. Avery DeVries added 19 assists, three digs and three aces. Karly VanDerWerff logged nine kills and six digs. Regan Hoffman added three kills and six digs. Emerson Ringling had four kills. Hadley Hanson finished with seven digs, while Baleigh Nachtigal had five assists. 

Freeman’s Ava Anderson finished with 18 assists, while Kate Miller recorded four blocks, four digs and two kills. Vaida Ammann had nine assists, while Ashlin Jacobsen had four digs.

Avon 2, Freeman Academy/Marion 0

ALEXANDRIA — Avo swept Freeman Academy/Marion in straight sets at the Hanson Early Bird tournament on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-20 and 25-10.

Avon’s Courtney Sees finished with 12 kills and 15 digs. McKenna Kocmich logged 14 assists and seven digs. Lila Vanderlei added seven digs and two aces. Kim Tolsma added three aces. 

FAM’s Joelle Hawkey had three kills, while Leah Goodwin and Hailey Stahl added two kills apiece. 


Andes Central/Dakota Christian 2, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 1

ALEXANDRIA — Andes Central/Dakota Christian picked up a three-set win over Sanborn Central/Woonsocket at the Hanson Early Bird tournament on Tuesday. The set scores were 26-24, 17-25 and 25-22.

ACDC’s Mahpiya Irving finished with six assists and seven digs. Neveah Morgan added eight digs, while Josie Brouwer logged four assists and 11 digs. Claire Johnson added four digs, three kills and eight aces. Abigail Svatos finished with five kills and Syrianna Never Misses A Shot logged six digs. 

SCW’s Kenna Ochsner finished with 13 digs, nine kills and five blocks. Kailynn Eggleston finished with eight kills and two digs. Kenlie Fridley added 10 assists and seven digs. Kam Ochnser finished with 19 digs. 


Wolsey-Wessington 3, Arlington 0

ARLINGTON — Class B No. 5 Wolsey-Wessington swept Arlington to earn a Tuesday high school volleyball victory. The set scores were 25-21, 25-23 and 25-22.

Wolsey-Wessington’s Mya Boomsma finished with 18 digs, 14 kills and two aces. Leah Williams added eight kills, while Mallory Miller finished with six kills and four blocks. Taylor Horn and Payton Kemnitz added 16 and 12 assists, respectively. Lainey Uttecht posted 15 digs. 

Arlington’s Morgan Larsen recorded seven kills and 15 digs. Addie Steffensen had seven kills, while Tanaya Weiss had 14 assists and 12 digs. Dani Carlson added two aces. 


Northwestern 3, Aberdeen Roncalli 0

ABERDEEN — Class B No. 4 Northwestern swept Aberdeen Roncalli to pick up a Tuesday high school volleyball win. The set scores were 25-17, 25-18 and 25-22.

Northwestern’s Ella Haven finished with 20 kills and one solo block. Ashley Haven added nine kills and 15 digs. Ana Ratigan added four kills, while Brooklinn Halvorson added 31 assists. Payton Grandpre posted 14 digs. 

Aberdeen Roncalli stats were not reported. 


Florence/Henry 3, Redfield 2

REDFIELD — Florence/Henry outlasted Redfield for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-21, 17-25, 25-27, 25-8, and 15-7.

Florence/Henry was led by Caylin Kelly with 12 kills and six blocks, while Macey Lane tallied 27 digs and 10 kills. Reece Schmidt recorded 20 assists, while Taylor Watson added 23 digs.

Redfield’s Katie Rozell finished with 17 kills, while Gracie Fast added nine kills, three aces and 14 digs. Camryn Rohlfs added 34 assists and two aces. 


Chester Area 3, Flandreau 0 

CHESTER — Class No. 3 Chester Area swept Flandreau in Tuesday high school volleyball action. The set scores were 25-12, 25-14 and 25-17. 

Addison Bates led Chester Area with nine kills, while Lily VanHal added four aces, eight kills and 18 assists. Jacy Wolf logged 12 assists and four aces. Kaylor Geraets and Emery Larson posted 12 digs apiece. Emmerson Eppard, VanHal and Bates each had blocks. 

Flandreau’s Abby Schoeberl finished with 13 assists. Claire Sheppard added six blocks and four kills. Lily Klein recorded three aces and four kills. Lizzie Pavlis had four kills. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Dell Rapids 0

DELL RAPIDS — Elkton-Lake Benton swept Dell Rapids for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-21, 25-23, and 25-20.

Tevan Erickson led Elkton-Lake Benton with 26 assists, while Aubree Bales tallied seven kills. Kailyn Drietz talleid six kills, while Kylie Ramlo and Andrea Renkly added five kills apiece. Drietz and Kinsley Krog totaled four digs each.

For Dell Rapids, Sophi Randall led with 30 assists and three blocks, while Kylee Fiddelke tallied 10 kills and three aces. Madelynn Henry recorded nine kills and five digs, while Alaina Wolff added 11 digs.


Garretson 3, Tri-Valley 0

COLTON — Class A No. 4 Garretson cruised past Tri-Valley in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-12, 25-18, and 25-9.

Kaylin Koch led Garretson with 12 kills and 25 assists, while Grace Hove contributed 10 digs and five aces. Aleah Wagner had nine kills and Logan Bly added eight digs.

Tri-Valley was led by Brookelyn Stieben and Cheyenne Hanson with 12 digs apiece. Stieben also had three assists and Megan Wenzel had three kills.


Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 3, Canistota 1

RUTLAND — Oldham-Ramona/Rutland pulled away from Canistota for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 17-25, 25-22, 25-16, and 25-21.

Julia Trygstad led ORR with 18 kills, 17 digs, and 4 blocks, while Alivia Bickett tallied 14 digs, 10 kills, and three aces. Bailey Hyland totaled 14 digs and three aces, while Brooklyn Hageman and Paige Hanson added 17 and 13 assists, respectively.

Canistota’s Natalee Hofer had 11 assists and six kills, while Kayla Papendick tallied 24 digs. Natalie Becker logged 19 digs, while Bailey Spicer had 11 assists. Sierra McGregor and Taylor McGregor added seven and six kills, respectively. 


Tripp-Delmont/Armour 3, Colome 0

ARMOUR — Tripp-Delmont/Armour swept Colome for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-16, 25-8, and 25-17.

TDA was led by Hannah Stremick with 18 assists, seven aces, and five digs. Megan Reiner tallied nine kills and eight digs, while Gracey Schatz logged 11 digs and eight kills. Morgan Gemar added three kills and three digs.

Colome’s Landi Krumpus had 15 digs, while Jordyn Ring, Devan Dougherty, and Maura Luedke each had five digs. Ring added four assists and three aces. Toree Ringing Shield led with three kills and two blocks.


Menno 3, Alcester-Hudson 0

MENNO — Menno swept Alcester-Hudson for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-11, 25-20, and 25-20.

Menno’s Josephine Stokes and Allison Lehr had eight kills each, while Lehr added 10 assists. Madelyn Kludt tallied 13 digs, while Julia Buechler added 10 digs. Abby Bender added eight assists.

Alcester-Hudson’s Jenna Manning had 18 digs, while Elly Doering added 12 digs and four kills. Hannah Ahart logged 13 assists and eight digs, while Carly Patrick tallied seven kills and five digs. Emma Moller recorded seven kills and seven digs, while Ella Serck added six assists and four digs.


Miller 3, Kimball/White Lake 0

WHITE LAKE — Miller picked up a three-set high school volleyball win over Kimball/White Lake on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-20, 27-25 and 25-22.

Jaden Werdel led Miller with 13 kills and 13 digs, while Ally Mullaney added 11 kills. Abigail Blake finished with four kills, while Tyra Gates added 33 assists and 10 digs. Jolie Palmer finished with 20 digs. Journey Palmer added seven digs. 

Kimball/White Lake stats were not reported. 


Parker 3, Irene-Wakonda 1

PARKER — Parker picked up a high school volleyball win over Irene-Wakonda on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-15, 25-17, 23-25, and 26-24.

Halle Berens led Parker with 17 kills and 28 digs, while Terryn Fuller tallied 33 assists. Jenna VanVelzen recorded 23 digs and five aces, while Aspen Rand totaled 14 digs and five aces. Hailey Phillips and Alyssa Schulte added 19 and 15 digs, respectively.

For Irene-Wakonda, Emerson Flynn tallied 12 assists, and 12 digs, while Madison Orr had nine kills and four aces. Zoey Anderson and Quinn McDonald recorded eight digs apiece, while Emma Marshall added six kills and six digs.


Ipswich 3, Aberdeen Christian 0

IPSWICH — Ipswich swept Aberdeen Christian for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-22, 25-16, and 25-17.

Ipswich’s Gracie Lange led with 12 kills and four aces, while Quincy Olivier tallied 14 assists, four digs, and three aces. Baylee Kulesa logged six kills and four aces, while Madison Geditz added 13 digs.

Aberdeen Christian was led by Jolie Fogarty with 13 assists and five kills. Alexis Isakson tallied 18 digs, while Payton Skarin recorded six digs. Chloe Bosma and Emma Sand added four and three kills, respectively. 


Leola-Frederick 3, Britton-Hecla 0

BRITTON — Leola-Frederick topped Britton-Hecla in straight sets for a high school volleyball win on Tuesday. The set scores were 27-25, 25-14 and 25-20.

Britton-Hecla’s Alyssa James and Addison Wade finished with four and three kills, respectively. Jayden Bender dished out five assists and had one ace. Emma Kraft and Sterling Brassfield had two blocks apiece. 

Leola-Frederick stats were not reported. 


West Central 3, Vermillion 0

HARTFORD — West Central swept Vermillion in straight sets to earn a Tuesday high school volleyball win. The set scores were 25-13, 25-20 and 25-21.

West Central’s Maria Peterson and Aubree Miller recorded seven and six kills, respectively. Miller had 2.5 blocks. Marissa Dobbs finished with seven aces. Ellie Lienhard dished out 20 assists, while Jocelyn Nilson logged four assists. 

Vermillion stats were not reported. 


Sioux Valley 3, Deuel 1

CLEAR LAKE — Sioux Valley picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Deuel on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-14, 25-14, 23-25 and 25-17.

Sioux Valley’s Addison Renkly finished with 12 kills, 15 digs, six aces and 4.5 blocks. Kaedyn Sapp added 18 digs and 11 kills, while Ashley Bjerke had 17 assists and four aces. Sunny Hesby logged 17 assists. Talya Vincent had 15 digs and Allie Hofer finished with seven kills. Keyra Kruse and Jada Knutson had two blocks apiece. 

Deuel’s Kaitlyn Gubrud finished with seven kills, while Josie Andersen had 10 assists, five kills and six aces. Gracie Fieber added seven assists. Annika Kriz logged 19 digs, while Emma Hamman added eight digs. 


Aberdeen Central 3, Brookings 1

ABERDEEN — Aberdeen Central picked up a four-set high school volleyball win over Brookings on Tuesday. The set scores were 13-25, 25-21, 25-9 and 25-21.

Brookings’ Tayla Dobrenski finished with 10 kills and eight digs. Sydney Bebensee added eight kills and 19 digs. Gracey Sheridan and Maya Erickson had four kills apiece, while Erickson had 11 digs. Sheridan added seven digs. Kylie Moe finished with eight digs. 

Aberdeen Central stats were not reported. 


Sioux Falls Jefferson 3, Sioux Falls Roosevelt 2

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Jefferson outlasted Sioux Falls Roosevelt in a five-set marathon match on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-18, 25-15, 23-25, 24-26 and 15-13.

Jefferson’s Maddie Paulsen finished with 13 kills, while Nancy Peter added 10 kills. Emory Brosnahan and Ella Kvernmo finished with eight kills apiece. Presly Pastian and Avery Schmitt finished with 26 and 22 assists, respectively. Kvernmo had eight aces and Cora Hokenstad added 17 digs.
