MITCHELL — Miller’s Derek Brueggeman and Clark/Willow Lake’s Brynn Roehrich captured individual medalist honors at Friday’s Class B Classic.

Playing at Mitchell’s at Lakeview Golf Course, Brueggeman fired a 73 in blustery conditions. Brueggeman shot a 35 on the front nine and a 38 on the back nine. 

Wall’s Trevor Schulz (77) and Sully Buttes’ Wesley Wittler (77) placed second and third, respectively. Sully Buttes’ Gavin Colson shot a 79 for a fourth-place finish. Wall’s Emmet Dinger (80) placed fifth. 

Roehrich carded an 85 for the girls individual medalist honors. She shot a 42 on the front nine and a 43 on the back nine. 

Chester’s Jadyn McDonald (89) and Miller’s Jayce Pugh (91) placed second and third, respectively. Sully Buttes’ Olivia Olson (91) and Chester’s Cadence Oliver (94) finished fourth and fifth, respectively. 

In the team standings, Chester won the girls title with a 282. Miller (291) placed second, while Burke (301) and Philip (301) tied for third place.

In the boys team race, Miller won with a 241, edging Wall (243) for the title. Hill City (249) placed third.
