SALEM — With the top-eight ranked Class B wrestling teams at Friday’s McCook Central/Montrose Invitational, wrestlers battled it out in one of the toughest B tournaments in the state. Defending Class B champion Canton, looked every bit the part of the No. 1 ranked team as the C-Hawks finished with 211 points, finishing ahead of second-place Winner (175.5) and a third-place tie between Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes and Redfield (161).

Canton’s Ayson Rice (126), Andy Meyer (138), Luke Richardson (152) and Marshall Baldwin (220) all claimed individual titles. 

Other individual champs included Redfield’s Brady Risetter (106), Winner’s Maxton Brozik, (113), Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes’ Kasen Konstanz (120), Burke/Gregory’s Owen Hansen (132), Winner’s Kaden Keiser (145), Winner’s Riley Orel (160), Philip Area’s Burk Blasius (170), Redfield’s Corbin Schwartz (182), Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes’ Levi Nightingale (195) and Wessington Springs/Woonsocket/Wolsey-Wessington’s Quinten Christensen (285)
