Canton had six individual champions and used late titles from Tanner Meyers (195) and Traun Cook (285) to catapult past the Governors. 

Canton racked up 282 points ahead of Pierre (269) and Winner Area (205). Tea Area (188.5) and McCook Central/Montrose (156) rounded out the top-five. 

In addition to Meyers and Cook, Zack Bartels (106), Ashton Keller (132), Kale Ask (138) and Ayson Rice (145) were crowned champions.

Spearfish (99) and Viborg-Hurley/Irene-Wakonda (99) rounded out the top-five. 

London Allen-Hunsaker (106 - Light), Dani Ringstmeyer (126), Abbigail Lewis (142), Marlee Shorter (190) and Ciara McFarling (285) all won titles for Pierre.

Brandon Valley claims title at Dan Pansch Invitational

SIOUX FALLS — Brandon Valley ran away with the team wrestling title Saturday at the Dan Pansch Invitational. The Lynx racked up 283 points, ahead of Bon Homme/Avon (170) and Huron (141). Sioux Falls O’Gorman (133.5) and Chamberlain (93) rounded out the top-five.

Tri-Valley edges Elk Point-Jeffrson for Jesse James Invitational title

GARRETSON — Trailing Elk Point-Jefferson heading into the final match of Saturday’s Jesse James Invitational the Mustangs got a pin from Isaac Nehlich (285) that clinched the team title for the Mustangs. 

Tri-Valley scored 181.5 points to edge Elk Point-Jefferson (180) and Beresford/Alcester-Hudson (145). Luverne (128) and Lennox (119) rounded out the top-five. 

Cole Hendrixson (113), Owen Effing (120) Brody Dybvig (145) and Isaac Nehlich (285) won titles for the Mustangs. 

Grant Larson (106) and Ramsey Williams (126) both won titles for Lennox. Lucas Hueser (152) and Ben Swatek (170) won titles for Elk Point-Jefferson. Landon Schurch (195) and Aaron Larson (220) won titles for Beresfor/Alcester-Hudson.
