A week ago Canton had a projected state tournament point total of 145 points in the weekly rankings. After winning the Mid Dakota Monster tournament with six individual champions that projected point total has surged to 190 points.

Another weapon for the C-Hawks showed up this weekend with Ashton Keller winning a title (132). Keller, a former C-Hawk, moved to Texas for a year before returning to the Canton lineup this week. Keller finished 3rd in the Texas state tournament a year ago and promptly jumped into the No. 2 ranking, just behind Owen Hansen of Burke/Gregory.

A couple of changes in top ranked wrestlers this week. Redfield’s Brady Risetter dropped to (106) where he is the New No. 1. Custer’s Tray Weiss is top-ranked (113). Canton’s Tanner Meyers dropped to (195) and is the new No. 1 there. Harding County’s Grey Gilbert is now top-ranked at (220). Tri-Valley’s Isaac Nehlich jumped into the No. 1 ranking at (285).
