WEBSTER — The Clark/Willow Lake girls and Deuel boys captured team titles at Wednesday’s Region 1A cross-country meet at the Webster Golf Course.

The CWL girls finished with 23 points, followed by Aberdeen Roncalli (32) and Milbank (49). The Deuel boys totaled 27 points, followed by Milbank (40) and Sisseton (60). 

CWL’s Kamryn Nesheim won the girls race, covering the 5,000-meter distance in 19 minutes and :48.02 seconds. Aberdeen Roncalli’s Addison Cassady (20:21.28) and Groton Area’s Ryelle Gilbert (20:36.38) placed second and third, respectively. CWL’s Emma Bochek (20:46.35) and Aberdeen Roncalli’s Hazel Kannegieter (20:49.98) rounded out the top-five girls runners. 

Milbank’s Jeter Scoular won the boys race in 17:14.97, followed by Groton Area’s Jayden Schwan (17:29.09) and Deuel’s Caden Hourigan (17:34.86). Sisseton’s Ryder Graff (17:55.68) and Deuel’s Tyson Hagberg (18:02.18) rounded out the top-five boys finishers.
