The Kernels lost to Harrisburg by a 68-59 decision earlier this season. … Hinker, an Augustana University signee, is the seventh all-time leading scorer in Class AA boys basketball with 1,577 career points. He’s also Mitchell’s all-time leader in career assists. … Kreutzfeldt is a former Mitchell Kernel boys basketball player and assistant coach. It’s his first season as Mitchell’s head coach. … Mitchell is making its second straight trip after not qualifying since 2012. 

Sioux Falls O’Gorman

Notes: The No. 7 Patriots will play No. 2 Sioux Falls O’Gorman at 6 p.m. in the opening round. Lincoln lost twice against Sioux Falls O’Gorman this season. Rock, a 7-foot-1 sophomore center, has received scholarship offers from Creighton, Iowa State, Wisconsin and Nebraska.
