Sioux Falls Roosevelt 54, Sioux Falls O’Gorman 52 (OT)

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Roosevelt capped an undefeated season by edging Sioux Falls O’Gorman in the Class AA championship game on Saturday.

The Rough Riders were led by Marcus Phillips with 16 points and seven rebounds, while Micah Johnson tallied nine points. Thoralingo Gilo recorded eight points, while Sam McMillen finished with seven points. Vance Borchers and Gabe Kranzler each scored six points.

The Knights were led by David Alpers with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Matthew Eng tallied 11 points. Rush Landry, Gavin Muirhead, and John Costello scored seven points apiece.

 

 

Sioux Falls Washington 66, Harrisburg 55

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Washington held off Harrisburg for a win in the third place game at the Class AA tournament on Saturday.

Mikele Kambalo led the Warriors with 34 points, while Angok Akot recorded 14 points and 16 rebounds. Joe Uttecht and Zharic Sheppard added seven points apiece. Mandalla Mohamed grabbed eight rebounds.

Harrisburg was led by Gavin Aasheim with 15 points, while Jacoby Mehrman tallied 13 points. Andrew Walter finished with nine points, while Ethan Determan added seven points.

 

Sioux Falls Lincoln 69, Mitchell 52

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Lincoln used a 40-16 second half to clinch the consolation championship over Mitchell at the Class AA tournament on Saturday.

The Patriots were led by Elliot Whitney with 24 points and seven rebounds, while Khalil Cisse tallied 10 points. Saif Shah and Caleb Hiatt each recorded eight points, while Hiatt also grabbed nine boards. J.T. Rock and Gage Gohl each added seven points. Gohl also grabbed seven rebounds.

Mitchell was led by Caden Hinker with 22 points and nine rebounds, while Charlie McCardle recorded 11 points. Steele Morgan finished with 10 points and Dylan Soulek added seven points.


Sioux Falls Jefferson 54, Yankton 32

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls Jefferson used a 21-7 fourth quarter to pull away from Yankton in the seventh place game at the Class AA tournament on Saturday.

The Cavaliers were led by Taylen Ashley with 15 points, while Kaden Year tallied 12 points and six rebounds. Griffin Wilde added 10 points and 15 rebounds.

With the win, Sioux Falls Jefferson picked up their first boys state tournament win in school history.

Yankton was led by Rugby Ryken with 10 points and four rebounds. Colton Potts recorded eight points and Mac Ryken added five points.
