RAPID CITY -- Brandon Valley rallied from a 2-0 deficit and clipped Pierre in a five-set match at the Class AA state volleyball tournament on Thursday. The set scores were 20-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-17 and 15-11. 

Brandon Valley’s Taylor Stemen finished with 17 kills and 10 digs. Liz Kopp added 45 assists and five digs. Hannah Parliament posted 11 kills and four digs. Josey Wickersham finished with 16 digs. Brooke Moeller recorded 13 digs. 

Pierre’s Lily Sanchez finished with 13 kills, 26 assists and nine digs. Ayvrie Kaiser posted 11 kills and 20 digs. Reese Terwillinger finished with 11 kills and Addison Cumbow added 25 digs. Remington Price added 12 digs and five kills. 

Brandon Valley plays Sioux Falls Washington in the championship semifinals. Pierre plays Huron in the consolation semifinals. 

Sioux Falls Washington 3, Huron 1

RAPID CITY -- Sioux Falls Washington topped Huron in four sets at the Class AA state volleyball tournament on Thursday. The set scores were 25-27, 25-10, 25-14 and 25-14.

Sioux Falls Washington’s Joslyn Richardson finished with 24 kills and 13 digs. Jadyn Schetnan added 21 kills, while Ellie Walker had 14 digs and nine kills. Shelby Kinzer added 11 kills, while Macie Malchow logged 50 assists. 

Huron’s Emily Dale had 14 kills, while Bryn Huber added 16 digs. Reese Rozell finished with 12 digs and five kills. Brynn Grose posted eight kills and nine digs. 

Sioux Falls Washington plays Brandon Valley in the championship semifinals. Huron plays Pierre in the consolation semifinals.

Sioux Falls O’Gorman 3, Sioux Falls Lincoln 0

RAPID CITY -- Sioux Falls O’Gorman swept Sioux Falls Lincoln and advanced to the Class AA semifinals on Thursday in state volleyball action. The set scores were 25-18, 25-19 and 25-18.

Macy Matheson finished with eight kills and five digs for O’Gorman, which had six players record four or more kills. Bergen Reilly added six kills, 23 assists, seven aces and five digs. Emily Dowling, Isabella Steffel and Brogan Beck had five kills apiece. Maggie Noonan had four kills and Gabriella Jones had nine digs.

Sioux Falls Lincoln’s Baily Plourde posted eight kills and 11 digs. Samantha Zeeck finished with 20 assists and four digs. Brynn Kirsch logged seven digs.

RAPID CITY -- Sioux Falls Roosevelt topped Harrisburg in a four-set match during Class AA state volleyball action on Thursday. The set scores were 25-21, 25-21, 23-25 and 25-23.

Sioux Falls Roosevelt’s Abigail Ward finished with 16 kills and 11 digs. Mya Vandrovec posted 13 kills and four digs. Elizabeth Denevan added 31 assists and 25 digs. Zoie Husman added 15 digs. 

Harrisburg’s Abby Meister and Morissen Samuels had 13 kills apiece. Meister added nine digs, while Alissa Dierks had 15 assists and five digs. Maggie Meister recorded 10 digs and 25 assists. Kayleigh Hybertson logged 10 kills.
