SIOUX FALLS — The Rapid City Stevens girls tennis team captured its second straight Class AA state championship on Friday. The Raiders have now won four state championships since 2021. 

On the strength of three singles championships and two doubles championships, the Raiders recorded 486.5 points. Sioux Falls Lincoln (417.5) and Harrisburg (381.5) placed second and third, respectively.  

Rapid City Stevens’ Sylvie Mortimer (Flight 1), Ella Potvin (Flight 2) and Bella Nelson (Flight 5) won singles championships. Arabella Scott/Potvin (Flight 2) and Nelson/Elena Braun (Flight 3) captured doubles championships. 

Sioux Falls Lincoln’s Eloise Geraets (Flight 1), Harrisburg’s Hope Gabel (Flight 4) and Harrisburg’s Jessi Muth (Flight 6) also captured singles championships. 

Nora Krajewski and Sabrina Krajewski (Flight 1) captured the other doubles championship.
