Class B Girls Roundup - Corsica-Stickney erases double-digit deficit in overtime win, secures third-place finish

Corsica-Stickney 65, Parkston 58 (OT)

BROOKINGS — Corsica-Stickney surged ahead of Parkston for a double-digit comeback win in overtime to take third place at the Class B state girls basketball tournament.

Hadynn Johnson led the Jaguars with 22 points, nine rebounds, four steals and a block, Braylee Bordewyk added 18 points, 13 boards, four assists, three steals and a block, Sophie DeLange added 13 points, four steals and four assists while Remi Nelson totaled nine points and three assists in the win.

For Parkston, Morgan Maxwell tallied 17 points and two assists, Berkley Ziebart added 16 points and five rebounds, Keeara Oakley had 16 points and eight boards while Alexis Holzbauer tallied six points in the loss.


Centerville 53, Colman-Egan 46

BROOKINGS — Izzie Eide’s 26-point outing powered Centerville over Colman-Egan for seventh place at the Class B state girls basketball tournament Saturday.

Eide finished with 26 points, nine rebounds and two steals, Brea Austin added 13 points and four steals while Lydia Austin and Tessa Eide each had six boards in the win.

For CE, Brynlee Leandis led with 16 points and five rebounds, Quinn Meyer added 11 points and six boards, Mya Rieff recorded 10 boards and seven blocks while Jolie Flatten added 10 points and four rebounds in the loss.


Bennett County 58, Lyman 47

BROOKINGS — Peyson O’Neill’s 21-point double-double powered Bennett County over Lyman in the Class B state consolation championship.

O’Neill finished with 21 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and three blocks for the Warriors, Reagan O’Neill recorded 12 points, nine rebounds and three assists, Harley Harris had 12 points and four boards while Madi Waln added seven points, six rebounds and three steals in the win.

For Lyman, Jordyn Scott led with 21 points, nine rebounds, five steals and a block, Mak Scott added 15 points, 11 rebounds, two blocks and a steal while Brooke Montgomery totaled four points, four rebounds, three steals and a block in the loss.
