Class B boys basketball tourney generates successful gate receipt figure

The 2022 Class B boys basketball tournament generated more than $160,000 in gate receipts, according to Aberdeen Central Athletic Director Dawn Seiler. 

The figure is the most since 2008 when it brought in $149,928. The 2022 final figure continues a trend of successful gate receipts since the tournament’s been in Aberdeen. 

It’s been in Aberdeen since 1995 and the 20th time gate receipts have topped more than $100,000 during that 27-year run. Below is a look at the year-by-year gate receipt intake, according to figures on the sdhsaa.com.
