Stanley County 59, Miller 56

FORT PIERRE — Stanley County held off Miller for a boys basketball win on Thursday.

Kaden Montana led the Buffaloes with 22 points, while Broch Zeeb added 18 points. Paxton Deal and Q Bourne scored eight and six points, respectively. 

Miller’s Alex Schumacher netted 17 points, while Trevor Werdel posted 15 points. Isaak Hunter tossed in 14 points and Dylan Hass scored 10 points. 

 

 

Mount Vernon/Plankinton 55, Kimball/White Lake 42

PLANKINTON — Mount Vernon/Plankinton pulled away from Kimball/White Lake for a Thursday boys basketball win.

MVP’s Jordan Stoltz finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Zach Baker logged 14 points and five rebounds. Reed Rus added eight points, four rebounds and three assists. Mason Hetland posted seven points and 14 rebounds. 

Kimball/White Lake stats were not reported. 

 



Wessington Springs 66, Faulkton Area 49

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Three players scored in double figures to lift Wessington Springs to a boys basketball win over Faulkton Area on Thursday. 

Ryder Michalek poured in 27 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists. Parker Graff logged 18 points and four assists. Brock Krueger logged a 10-point, 11-rebound double-double, while he dished out five assists. Blake Larson had six points, six rebounds and four assists. 

Faulkton Area’s Lane Cotton finished with 28 points and nine rebounds. Roman DiMaria added eight points, five assists and four rebounds. 


Girls 

Chamberlain 47, Corsica-Stickney 40

CORSICA — Chamberlain outlasted Class B No. 2 Corsica-Stickney for a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Chamberlain’s Jayna Handel finished with 17 points, six rebounds and three assists. Kinsey Evans and Leigha Long scored eight points apiece, while Evans added four rebounds. Chesney Mutziger logged seven points and Sara Peterson posted five points. 

Corsica-Stickney’s Payton DeLange scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds. Mara Lagge scored nine points, while Brooklyn Bosma had four points and six rebounds. Sutten Eide had four points and five rebounds. Braylee Bordewyk, Jacey Kemp and Sydney Spaans had four points apiece. 


Wessington Springs 52, Faulkton Area 36

WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Three players scored in double figures to lift Wessington Springs to a girls basketball win over Faulkton Area on Thursday. 

Avery Orth tossed in 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Kirstie Munsen finished with 15 points and six rebounds. Carissa Scheel added 14 points and 10 rebounds. Alyssa Grohs logged five assists and five rebounds. 

Faulkton Area’s Kelli Stoecker scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Addison Melius finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Gabby Kast finished with six points. 


Elkton-Lake Benton 41, Estelline/Hendricks 32

ESTELLINE — Elkton-Lake Benton pulled away from Estelline/Hendricks for a Thursday girls basketball win. 

ELB’s Kylie Ramlo finished with a game-high 15 points. Tevan Erickson and Aubrey Schindler scored eight points apiece. 

Estelline/Hendricks’ Kenzy Beare logged 13 points, four rebounds and three steals. Brooke Johnson posted eight points, while Sadie Johnson scored seven points. 


Sisseton 62, Milbank 29

SISSETON — Sisseton raced past Milbank for a girls basketball win on Thursday.

Sisseton’s Emmalee Nielsen led with 13 points and six rebounds, while Chloe Langager and Krista Langager each had 10 points. Hannah Leverson, Ruby Rice, and Jourdes Chanku each tallied eight points.

Milbank’s Maurina Street led with 11 points and five rebounds, while Claire Snaza added eight points.


Sioux Falls Washington 53, Sioux Falls Lincoln 25

SIOUX FALLS — Brooklyn Harpe and Grace Peterson combined for 29 points to pace Sioux Falls Washington to a girls basketball win on Thursday. 

Harpe finished with 15 points, nine rebounds and four steals. Peterson added 14 points and three rebounds. Hannah Harpe added six points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals. Isabel Carda scored six points, while Ava Brink had five points and five rebounds. 

Lincoln’s Mariah Siem finished with seven points, four rebounds and four steals. Madison Evans scored eight points and Ciara Velasquez posted six points. Addie Fawcett grabbed five rebounds.
