Tiospa Zina 57, McLaughlin 37 

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to lift Tiospa Zina to a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Saturday. Tiospa Zina won the Makosica Championship with the win. 

Tiospa Zina’s Jonny Rivers finished with 22 points, while Calvin Fish followed with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Tabawa’ni Peters recorded 12 points and four rebounds. 

For McLaughlin, Raymin Yellow Earrings had 15 points and four rebounds. Renzo Bull Head and Cassidy Demery scored eight points. Demery had six rebounds. Levyn White Bull had four points and five rebounds. 


White River 62, Lakota Tech 54

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace White River to a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Saturday.

White River’s Nic Marshall finished with 20 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Jordan Uhlir posted 15 points and eight boards. Evastine Wright recorded 11 points and five rebounds. Ray Crow scored eight points, while Mackenzie Wike had five points.

For Lakota Tech, Gilbert White scored 21 points and collected four rebounds. Riley Casey had 12 points and three rebounds. Mackenzie Cass added 10 points. Julian Tonche had seven points and Michael Yankton added six rebounds. 


Marty 74, Little Wound 68

RAPID CITY — Tate Elk Soldier powered Marty to a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Saturday. 

Elk Soldier finished with 33 points and hit seven 3-pointers. Kris Meeter recorded 18 points and seven rebounds. Greg Zephier finished with 13 points. Todd LaPlante had six points and Terrill Rave had eight rebounds.

For Little Wound, Cashus Hunter finished with 17 points and nine rebounds. Kinyan Catches Enemy recorded 14 points and 11 rebounds. Tristen Kills Small posted 11 points, six rebounds and four assists. 


Wall 57, Todd County 43

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to send Wall to a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Saturday.

Dawson Handcock recorded 19 points and hit three 3-pointers. Teelan Kjerstad added 12 points and four rebounds. Jace Mohr posted 11 points. Rylan Elshere scored six points.

For Todd County, Kendrik Easter finished with 20 points and six rebounds. Ty Valandra added eight points.


Omaha Nation 72, Crow Creek 66

RAPID CITY — Omaha Nation used a balanced scoring attack to pick up a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Saturday.

Omaha Nation’s Kristin Cayou logged 11 points and eight rebounds. Garnett Parker posted 10 points and six rebounds. 

Crow Creek’s Kiron Thompson recorded 16 points and 12 rebounds. Justin St. John and Lance Wind Jr., scored 12 points apiece. St. John added six steals and four rebounds. 


Takini 48, Oelrichs 45

RAPID CITY — Takini edged Oelrichs for a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Saturday.

Takini’s Logan Quilt logged 20 points and 17 boards. C.J. Pederson recorded 12 points. Xavier Condon added seven points, while Noah Knife had seven rebounds and four points.

For Oelrichs, Keenan Youngman finished with 14 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Andre Warrior logged 13 points and eight rebounds. Anthony Warrior scored seven points. 


Wakpala 49, Tiospaye Topa 45

RAPID CITY — Wakpala nipped Tiospaye Topa for a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Saturday. 

Wakpala’s Antoine Mellette logged 18 points and 11 rebounds. Lane Cadotte posted 13 points, while Keenan Finley had eight points.

For Tiospaye Topa, Jakolby Rousseau had 20 points and 11 steals. Bailee Hall added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Kaden Rousseau had five points and seven rebounds. 


Crazy Horse 75, Lower Brule 49

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Crazy Horse to a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Saturday.

Donnie Ghost Dog tossed in 32 points, hit six 3-pointers and grabbed five rebounds. Devaughn Between Lodges logged 14 points, four rebounds and three steals. Noah Iron Horse had 11 points, nine rebounds and seven steals. Richard Pumpkin Seed had eight points. Jacob High Horse finished with six points and six rebounds.

For Lower Brule, Quentin McBride Jr., posted 14 points, while Marley Carpenter had 12 points and nine rebounds. Lane Gray tallied 10 points. Elliot LaRoche added nine points. 


Custer 60, Red Cloud 30

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to pace Custer to a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Saturday.

Custer’s Kincade Lehman posted 17 points, five rebounds and four 3-pointers. Kyle Virtue added 15 points, while Rett Lowe scored 10 points. Carter Boyster had eight points, while Cody Dirkes had six points and four rebounds. 

For Red Cloud, Braylon Little logged eight points and Nick Zuniga had seven points. Monty Montileaux scored five points. 


Santee 55, St. Francis 47

RAPID CITY — Santee held off St. Francis for a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Saturday. 

Kellen Medina and Justus Denney scored 18 points apiece for St. Francis. Medina added nine rebounds, while Denney had five rebounds. Tasunka Starlin and Bradley Strickland scored eight points apiece. Strickland had six rebounds and Christian Torrez posted five rebounds. 

For St. Francis, John Gunhammer recorded 19 points and eight rebounds. Ty Valandra added seven points and 10 boards. 


Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 61, Dupree 48

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to lead Cheyenne-Eagle Butte to a Lakota Nation Invitational boys basketball win on Saturday.

CEB’s Dayson Kennedy finished with 13 points and three 3-pointers. Levi Elk Nation and Easton Lawrence logged 10 points apiece. Elk Nation added five steals. Nehemiah Veaux posted eight points, while Braxton Kennedy logged six points.

For Dupree, Elijah Brewer netted 19 points and hit 3-pointers. Jayden Marshall posted 13 points. Kinslee Parker had eight points, while Randen Eagle Chasing posted six points and nine boards.
