SISSETON — The Deuel boys and girls cross-country teams both dominated in winning titles at Thursday’s Sisseton Invitational run at the Valley View Country Club. 

The Deuel boys scored just nine points, ahead of Great Plains Lutheran (18) and Sisseton (30). The Deuel girls scored just seven points, ahead of Great Plains Lutheran (16) and Florence/Henry (22). 

Sisseton’s Ryder Graff covered the 5,000-meter course in 17:57, ahead of Deuel’s Caden Hourigan (18:28) and Deuel’s Tyson Hagberg. Deuel’s Sutton Benck (18:41) and Great Plains Lutheran’s Thad Kratz (18:50) rounded out the top-five boys finishers.

Deuel’s Jayce Hourigan won the girls race in 20:37, ahead of teammate Shyla Tvedt (21:20) and Great Plains Lutheran’s Katherine Prahl (21:27). Deuel’s Isabella Imm (21:43) and Great Plains Lutheran’s Evelyn Prahl (21:55) completed the list of top-five girls finishers.
