De Smet 62, Wolsey-Wessington 45

DE SMET —  Four players scored in double figures as Class B No. 2 De Smet cruised to a boys basketball win over Wolsey-Wessington Monday.

Grant Wilkinson led the Bulldogs with 17 points, Carter Wilkinson added 14 points, Slayten Wilkinson recorded 13 points, Noah Luethmers added 12 points while Kolby Sinclair netted six points in the win.

For WW, Clay Kahre led with 15 points on five 3-pointers, Larz Tvedt netted 12 points on four three’s, Caleb Richmond collected six points while Sawyer Nelson added five points in the loss.


Ethan 68, Leola/Frederick Area 62

MITCHELL — Four players scored in double figures to pace Ethan to a boys basketball win on Monday.

Ethan’s Jaxx Kurtenbach totaled 19 points, five assists, four 3-pointers, three rebounds and three assists. Tuff Martin had 16 points and 14 rebounds. Davin Hohn and Creighton Klumb added 13 points apiece. Jack Bartscher recorded seven points and four rebounds.

For LFA, Winston Clark finished with 17 points, five rebounds and four 3-pointers. Milo Sumption posted 16 points and seven rebounds. Jace Thorpe had nine points, while Westyn Thorpe and Titus Kippley had seven points apiece.


Centerville 50, Elk Point-Jefferson 48

CENTERVILLE — Alec Austin’s buzzer beater lifted Centerville to a boys basketball win on Monday.

Corbin Tople recorded 19 points for the Tornadoes. Austin added 16 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Logan Ruter finished with six points. Ethan Bobzin added five points, while Tucker Martz finished with 12 rebounds and four points.

For EPJ, Aiden Hammitt totaled 17 points and Luke Schmitz scored 16 points. 


Clark/Willow Lake 61, Deuel 21

CLEAR LAKE — Three players  scored in double figures as Class A No. 3 Clark/Willow Lake rolled to a boys basketball win over Deuel Monday.

Emmerson Larson led the Cyclones with 17 points, six steals and three rebounds, Sully Felberg added 14 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three blocks, Bo Begeman recorded 12 points, six boards and two blocks, Chris Bevers added eight points, six rebounds and six steals while Miles Olson had five points and three rebounds in the loss.

For Deuel, Troy Jenson and Gavin Maaland each had seven points while Sutton Benck brought down six rebounds in the loss.
