Wilmot 49, Langford Area 38

LANGFORD — Wilmot picked up a Region 1B girls basketball win over Langford Area on Wednesday. Wilmot will play Aberdeen Roncalli on Thursday.

Wilmot’s Madeline Remund scored 22 points and seven rebounds, while Addison Heinje tallied nine points and four assists. Paris Red Thunder adde seven points.

Langford Area’s Katie Jensen scored 16 points, while Montana Marlow tallied six points. Megan Gustafson and Kylie Schock added five points apiece. Olyvia Dwight grabbed eight rebounds.

North Central 31, Ipswich 20

IPSWICH — Brittney Frickson’s double-double helped lead North Central to a Region 2B girls basketball win on Wednesday. North Central will play Sully Buttes on Thursday.

Frickson finished with 20 points, 11 rebounds, six steals, and four assists. Jenisa Jacobs tallied seven points and Hope Hoerner added four points and eight rebounds.

For Ipswich, Katie Bierman and Karlie Gohl each scored six points.

Sioux Valley 66, Great Plains Lutheran 40

VOLGA — Sioux Valley cruised past Great Plains Lutheran for a Region 2A girls basketball win on Wednesday. Sioux Valley will play Hamlin on Thursday.

Sioux Valley was led by Reagan Johnson with 19 points, while Julia Schneider scored 14 points. Isabelle Bloker tallied 11 points, while Laryn Stevens added nine points.

For GPL, Halle Bauer finished with 11 points, while Kimberly Goens tallied eight points and four assists. Mali York and Madeline Prahl each scored six points, while Prahl also grabbed six rebounds.
