Marty 63, Omaha Nation (Neb.) 48

MITCHELL — Marty captured Saturday’s Dakota Oyate Challenge boys basketball championship at the Corn Palace. The Braves drilled 14 3-pointers. 

Marty’s Leon Heart netted 21 points on seven 3-pointers. Steven Peters III scored 10 points. Tyson Cournoyer added nine points. Dayson Arpan scored seven points. 


Sioux Valley 65, De Smet 62

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Valley outlasted Class B No. 1 De Smet for a boys basketball win on Saturday.

SV’s Brady Hiltunen led the Cossacks with 34 points, seven rebounds and five 3-pointers. Connor Relf added 16 points. Holdyn Ruesink totaled seven points, while Carter Sapp logged six points and six boards. 

For De Smet, Noah Luethmers recorded 23 points, seven rebounds, five 3-pointers and four assists. Grant Wilkinson added 22 points and 16 boards. Carter Wilkinson finished with eight points and four rebounds. Kolby Sinclair had five points and five rebounds. 


Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 54, Winner 43

WINNER — Levi Elk Nation paced Class A No. 10 Cheyenne-Eagle Butte to a boys basketball win over Winner on Saturday.

Elk Nation recorded 21 points and five boards. Nicholas Woods II added eight points, while Nehemiah Veaux had seven points and five rebounds.

For Winner, Jalen Tideman scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds. Sam Steele added 15 points on five 3-pointers. 


Spearfish 60, Mitchell 44

SPEARFISH — Kade Vavruska and Mason Southern powered Spearfish to a boys basketball win over Mitchell on Saturday.

Vavruska finished with 20 points and three 3-pointers. Southern added 15 points. Cooper Gibbs scored 10 points, while Kamren Davis had eight points. Bennett Kortan had five points.

For Mitchell, Owen Raml scored 11 points. Collin Weier added 10 points and Colton Smith scored eight points. Owen Schelske scored seven points. 


Faulkton Area 57, Ipswich 56

FAULKTON — Faulkton Area clipped Ipswich for a boys basketball win on Saturday.

FA’s Korbin Stark finished with 20 points, six 3-pointers and four rebounds. Spencer Melius added 15 points, six assists, four rebounds and three 3-pointers. Landon Niederbaumer had 11 points and eight boards. 

For Ipswich, Shay Knust scored 18 points and had five assists. Jaxon Holt recorded 14 points, five steals and three 3-pointers. Hayden Schlosser had 12 points. Kyle Hettich added nine points and six rebounds. 


Flandreau 64, Parker/Marion 49

FLANDREAU — Kody Kneebone and Xavier Bien led Flandreau to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Kneebone totaled 17 points, while Bien had 16 points. 

For PM, Landon Wieman scored 11 points. Colin Robertson had 10 points. 


North Central 58, Andes Central/Dakota Christian 38

HIGHMORE — North Central pulled away from Andes Central/Dakota Christian for a boys basketball win on Saturday.

NC’s Donovan Nelson scored 20 points, while Seth Hettick added 10 points. Kobe Wherry totaled eight points and Reuben Blanco scored seven points.

For ACDC, Jamian Medicine Horn scored 13 points and Samuel Rouse added 11 points. Tate Kaczor scored five points. 


Waubay-Summit 57, Elkton-Lake Benton 41

SUMMIT — Two players scored in double figures to power Waubay-Summit to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

WS’s Hogan Hlavacek scored 14 points, while Jase Wohlleber added 12 points and three 3-pointers. McKoy Pereboom totaled nine points on three 3-pointers. Tripp Gaikowski added seven points. Evan Aker scored six points and Teegan Gaikowski had five points.

For ELB, Joseph Nibbe totaled 11 points and Ethan Wiskur scored nine points. Colt Beck and Myles Poindexter had six points apiece. 


Miller 69, Platte-Geddes 57

PLATTE — Three players scored in double figures to power Miller to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Miller’s Will Resel finished with 21 points and Isaak Hunter had 18 points. Oliver Fritzsche scored 16 points.

For PG, Jameson Leader totaled 18 points and four rebounds. Isaac Leader recorded 17 points, six rebounds and four steals. Ziggy Duffy had six points. Jye Dailey totaled five points, seven rebounds and four assists. Hayes DeVries recorded seven points and four rebounds. 


Leola/Frederick Area 64, Jones County 52

HIGHMORE — Four players scored in double figures to power Leola/Frederick Area to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

LFA’s Winston Clark scored 19 points, while Zander Hoffman added 15 points. Westyn Thorpe and Jace Thorpe scored 10 points apiece. Erik Losure had six points.

For JC, Bryer Kinsley scored 22 points and Dawson Hunt totaled 16 points. Bodie Whitney added five points. 


Sioux Falls O’Gorman 74, Rapid City Central 66

RAPID CITY — Three players scored in double figures to power Sioux Falls O’Gorman to a boys basketball win on Saturday.

O’Gorman’s Kamden Cisse totaled 29 points, while Matthew Mead had 13 points and three 3-pointers. Chace Hermanson recorded 11 points. Jaxson Weeldreyer totaled nine points, while Braylen Yellow Bird scored eight points.

For Rapid City Central, Julius Duran had 15 points and three 3-pointers. Preston Yellow added 15 points on five 3-pointers. Weiland Benbo and Logan Soderlin scored 11 points apiece. Robert Steele totaled six points.
