Centerville 68, Gayville-Volin 54

ARMOUR — Alec Austin and Aiden Bobzin combined for 37 points as Centerville won the Great Plains Conference championship Saturday.

Austin led the Tornadoes with 19 points and five rebounds, Bobzin totaled 18 points and six rebounds, Miles Eide had eight points while Ethan Bobzin collected eight rebounds in the win.

GV’s Spencer Karstens led the Raiders with 21 points while Hunter Wuebben collected 13 points in the loss.


Corsica-Stickney 43, Irene-Wakonda 41

ARMOUR — Tyson Wentland’s double-double helped Corsica-Stickney clip Irene-Wakonda Saturday at the Great Plains Conference Classic.

Wentland finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds while Brock Hinker totaled 10 points and eight rebounds in the win.

IW’s Hayden Hansen led with 15 points, Brody Johnke had seven points while Christian Putman tallied eight points in the loss.


Scotland-Menno 53, Sioux Falls Lutheran 51

ARMOUR — Ashton Dennis netted 22 points as Scotland-Menno clipped Sioux Falls Lutheran Saturday at the Great Plains Conference Classic.

Dennis finished with 22 points and four rebounds while Trent Guthmiller and Kory Keppen each tallied eight rebounds in the win.

SFL’s Sam Borg tallied 12 points, Kade Matthies had 11 points while Owen Gilster collected 10 points in the loss.


Andes Central-Dakota Christian 62, Marty 54

ARMOUR — Ryder Niewenhuis and Jamian Medicine Horn combined for 32 points as Andes Central-Dakota Christian topped Marty at the Great Plains Conference Classic Saturday.

Niewenhuis and Medicine Horn each netted 16 points in the win, Garth Maas added 13 points while Hunter Loeffler collected nine points as well.

Marty’s Greg Zephier poured in 24 points while Tyson Cournoyer had nine points in the loss.


Freeman Academy-Marion 52, Burke 43

ARMOUR — Three players scored in double figures during Freeman Academy-Marion’s win over Burke at Saturday’s Great Plains Conference Classic.

Lincoln Anderson, Karter Weber and Elshadi Mesfin each had 11 points in the win.

Burke’s Brody Indahl tallied 12 points while Quinten Bull and Jayder Schonebaum each had 10 points in the loss.


Avon 77, Colome 23

ARMOUR — Four players reach double figures as Avon defeated Colome at Saturday’s Great Plains Conference Classic.

Aziah Meyer led the Pirates with 14 points, Zander Fathke had 13 points, five assists and five steals, Grayson Ratzlaad added 10 points, four rebounds and two assists while Trevor Eggers poured in nine points as well.

Colome’s Jonah Musser led the Cowboys with 13 points and seven rebounds while Tyson Wetzel had six points and seven boards in the loss.


Alcester-Hudson 59, Tripp-Delmont/Armour 54

ARMOUR — Evan Brown and Ethan Bovill combined for 38 points as Alcester-Hudson knocked off Tripp-Delmont/Armour at Saturday’s Great Plains Conference Classic.

Brown finished with 21 points and three rebounds, Bovill totaled 17 points and three assists, Tommy Walth tallied eight points, four rebounds and two assists while Evan Haak had six points in the win.

TDA’s Riley Spaans led the Nighthawks with 20 points, eight rebounds and a steal, Isaac Wunder collected 15 points, four rebounds and five assists, Alex Werkmeister netted seven points and four rebounds while Dalton Westendorf recorded five points and six rebounds in the loss.

 

Rapid City Christian 70, Spearfish 45

RAPID CITY --- Class A No. 3 Rapid City Christian coasted past Spearfish for a boys basketball win on Saturday.

Rapid City Christian's Benson Kieffer finished with 22 points and eight assists. Julius Frog added 21 points, while Simon Kieffer scored 16 points. 

Spearfish stats were not reported. 

 

Sioux City East (Iowa) 81, Dakota Valley 60

NORTH SIOUX CITY —  Dakota Valley fell during Saturday’s high school boys basketball action.

Luke Bruns poured in 28 points, seven rebounds and two assists in the effort while Logan Collette tallied 14 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals in the loss.
