Rapid City Christian 60, Belle Fourche 39 

RAPID CITY — Rapid City Christian defeated Belle Fourche in a Region 8A girls basketball game on Thursday. The Comets will play in the SoDak 16 on March 6.

Rapid City Christian’s Lydia Williams finished with 18 points and Brynn Casey added 15 points. Sadie Marshall totaled 12 points and Nia Selfridge scored six points.

For Belle Fourche, Reagan Hartling scored 12 points. Lily Nore finished with nine points. Mya Nowowiejski and Denali Larson had seven points apiece. 


Dakota Valley 62, Vermillion 54

NORTH SIOUX CITY — Four players scored in double figures as Class A No. 2 Dakota Valley defeated Class A No. 3 Vermillion Thursday. Dakota Valley will play in the SoDak 16 on March 6.

Camryn Sommervold led the Panthers with 17 points, Ella Otten had 15 points, Aubree Worden collected 14 points and seven rebounds, while Katie Betsworth had 11 points and five boards in the win.

Vermillion’s Taylor Reuvers led with 25 points, Brooke Jensen had 13 points, While Madigan Wallin and Kasey Hanson each tallied six points.


Hamlin 60, Clark/Willow Lake 41

HAYTI — Four players scored in double figures to power Hamlin to a Region 2A girls basketball win on Thursday. The Chargers will play in the SoDak 16 on March 6.

Hamlin’s Addie Neuendorf finished with 21 points and five 3-pointers. Addie Jensen recorded 12 points, while Addie Steffensen and Jo Steffensen scored 11 points apiece. 

For CWL, Kamryn Nesheim had 12 points and Johanna Vandersnick added 10 points. Brynn Roehrich scored eight points.


Flandreau 58, Dell Rapids 44

FLANDREAU — Sadie Iott and Morgan Sheppard combined for 50 points as Flandreau secured a spot in the SoDak 16 Thursday.

Iott led the Fliers with 30 points, 10 rebounds and four steals while Sheppard tallied 20 points, eight boards and seven assists in the win.

DR’s Rory Thorson had 22 points while Jersi Schultz tallied 12 points in the loss.


Lakota Tech 61, Winner 34

PINE RIDGE — Lakota Tech pulled past Winner in Region 7A girls basketball action on Thursday. The Tatanka will play in the SoDak 16 on March 6. 

Lakota Tech’s Isabella Shangreaux finished with 16 points and four steals. Shania Ferugson added 10 points, five assists and four steals. Layla Janis and Angeliyah Big Boy scored eight points apiece. Peyton Knife had seven points. 

Winner stats were not reported. 

 

Sioux Valley 65, Great Plains Lutheran 24

VOLGA — Talya Vincent’s 24 points powered Sioux Valley to the Class A SoDak 16 Thursday.

Vincent finished with 24 points on eight three-pointers, Liberty Trygstad added 15 points, Kailey Cradduck totaled 11 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks while Amari Ward had nine points, five assists, three rebounds and three steals in the win.

GPL’s Madeline Prahl had 13 points, three rebounds and two assists in the loss.

 

Wagner 55, McCook Central-Montrose 38

WAGNER — Ashlyn Koupal dropped a quadruple-double as Wagner secured a spot in the Class A SoDak 16 Thursday.

Koupal tallied 19 points, 19 rebounds, 11 blocks, 10 assists, and three steals while Lydia Yost led the Red Raiders with 21 points and six rebounds in the win.

MCM’s Natalie Leuth recorded 11 points and three rebounds while Ella DeKnikker tallied six points and two steals in the loss.
