Flandreau boys claim title at Sioux Valley Invitational

VOLGA — The Flandreau golf team had three, top-four individual performances on their way to winning the team title Monday at the Sioux Valley Invitational.

Flandreau finished with 337 strokes, ahead of Aberdeen Roncalli (343) and Sioux Valley (345). Groton (349) and Milbank (361) rounded out the top five teams. 

Groton’s Brevin Fliehs claimed medalist honors with a 76, ahead of Flandreau players Kaden Bursheim (77) and Jon Bursheim (81). Flandreau’s Alfie Henderson (81) and Aberdeen Roncalli’s Finn Anderson (82).

Tea Area golfers claim title at West Central Early Bird

HARTFORD — Tea Area’s Derek Anderson carded a one-under par (71) to help his team win the team title at Monday’s West Central Early Bird in Hartford. 

The Titans shot a (+35) to edge Dakota Valley (+55) and Vermillion (+58). Sioux Falls Christian (+59) and West Central (+60) rounded out the top-five. 

Anderson’s 71 edged Sioux Falls Christian’sn Eli Anema (73) and Canton’s Carson Steffensen (79) for medalist honors.

Harrisburg claims title at two-day Warrior/Lynx Invitational

BRANDON and SIOUX FALLS — After playing the Brandon Golf Course on Monday and the Bakker Crossing Golf Course in Sioux Falls on Tuesday the Harrisburg boys claimed the team title from the Warrior/Lynx Invitational. 

The Tigers shot a two-day total of 575, ahead of Pierre (581) and O’Gorman (596). Watertown (597) and Brandon Valley (615) rounded out the top-five. 

Individually Harrisburg’s Hayden Scott carded a 72 on Monday then came back with a 65 on Tuesday to win medalist honors. 

Scott’s two-day total of 137 edged Brandon Valley’s Carter Peterson (140) and Pierre’s Luke Olson (141).
