WAGNER -- The Mitchell Christian boys and and Gregory girls captured team titles at the Wagner cross-country invitational on Monday.
The Golden Eagles finished with 13 points, edging Gregory by 14 points for the boys team title. The Gorillas finished with 12 points. Hanson (18) and Andes Central/Dakota Christian (19) finished second and third, respectively.
In the boys individual race, Gregory's Luke Sinclair finished first and Mitchell Christian's Silas Holdeman placed second. Bon Homme's Nate Hall, Wagner's Lael Young and Mitchell Christian's Nahum Anderberg finished third-through-fifth, respectively.
In the girls individual race, Gregory's Emma Thomas covered the 5,000-meter run in 21-minutes and :48 seconds to earn the title. Gregory's Asia VanDerWerff (23:16) and Andes Central/Dakota Christian's Lexi Schoenfelder (23:19) finished second and third, respectively. ACDC's Anna DeHaan (23:21) and Hanson's Cadence Jarding (23:21) placed fourth and fifth, respectively.
