LIMA, Peru —- Hamlin High School graduate and University of Florida sophomore Gracelyn Leiseth finished fifth in the discus competition at the World U20 Track and Field Championships. 

Leiseth made the 12-women final qualifying in 11th position Tuesday with a throw of 49.79 meters (163-feet-4). In the final competition, Leiseth moved up to fifth place with a throw of 52.79 meters (173-feet-2). 

China’s Han Bingyang won the event with a toss of 57.57 meters (188-feet-8). 

Leiseth is also representing Team USA in the shot and will throw in the qualifying round Friday morning.
