WESSINGTON SPRINGS — James Valley Christian’s Kaden Ober and Highmore-Harrold’s Autumn Fallis captured individual titles at Wednesday’s 281 Conference cross country meet.

Ober ran the 5,000-meter run at the Wessington Springs Golf Course in 17:48.97, clipping Sanborn Central/Woonsocket’s Jackson Wolter (17:50.06) for first place. Sunshine Bible Academy’s Reagan Sandness took third place with a time of 18:23.46, while JVC’s Levi Crandall (18:28.65) and HH’s Jordan Erfman (18:39.58) rounded out the top-5 runners.

Fallis paced the girls race with a time of 20:15.56, with SCW’s Emrie VonEye (20:43.96) and Wolsey-Wessington’s Kendal Uttecht (20:52.18) finishing not far behind for second and third place. JVC’s Hadasah Olson (22:47.90) and Micaiah Brantner (23:10.90) took the final two spots in the top-5.

James Valley Christian ran away with the boys team title while Highmore-Harrold won the girls team title Wednesday as well.
