GETTYSBURG — The Ipswich girls and Groton Area boys claimed team titles at Friday’s Battler Invitational. 

The Ipswich girls recorded 155.5 points, followed by Timber Lake (75), Groton Area (67) and South Border, North Dakota (67). The Groton Area boys totaled 85 points, followed by Ipswich (83) and Timber Lake (78). 

On the girls side, Ipswich’s Jalyssa Hutson won the pole vault (9-6) and placed second in the high jump (4-4). Ipswich’s Marley Guthmiller, Kalynn Oban, Isabella Galbraith and Madisyn Gellhaus won the 3,200-meter relay (10:14.66). Gellhaus won the 1,600-meter run (5:41.66) and Galbraith won the 3,200-meter run (12:07.80). 

Groton Area’s McKenna Tietz, Taryn Traphagen, Kella Tracy and Makenna Krause won the 400-meter relay (:52.38). Tietz, Traphagen, Tracy and Rylee Dunker won the 800-meter relay (1:50.46). Tietz added a first-place finish in the 300-meter hurdles (:49.21). 

Krause, Traphagen, Tracy and Ryelle Gilbert won the sprint medley relay (4:42.52). 

Gettysburg’s Finlee Heien, Paige Ahlemeier, Jadyn Ahlemeier and Emma Schlachter won the 1,600-meter relay (4:22.60). 

Herreid/Selby Area’s Breanna Jochim won the 100-meter dash (:12.76), the long jump (16-5.5) and finished second in the 200-meter dash (:27.41). 

Mobridge-Pollock’s Bentley Bauer won the 200-meter dash (:27.16) and finished second in the long jump (16-5). 

Timber Lake’s Talley Locken won the 400-meter dash (1:06.13). Hoven’s Dannika Kaup won the 100-meter hurdles (:16.72). Faith’s Reyse Antrim won the high jump (4-6). 

Ipswich’s Tristan Geditz won the shot put (32-4) and discus (101-1). Faulkton Area’s Brooklyn Mueller won the triple jump (31-7). 

On the boys side, Groton Area’s Keegen Tracy won the 100-meter dash (:10.99), 200-meter dash (:23.05) and 400-meter dash (:53.95). 

Ipswich’s Casey Geditz, Kyle Hettich, Brody Davis and Shay Knust won the 400-meter relay (:45.05). The same quartet won the 800-meter relay (1:34.09). Davis also won the pole vault (12-0). 

Groton Area’s Jayden Schwenn won the 1,600-meter run (4:50.95) and 3,200-meter run (10:22.65).  

Aberdeen Christian’s Luke Kaiser won the 110-meter hurdles (:17.61) and 300-meter hurdles (:45.86). Dylan Hofer won the triple jump (43-0.75) for the Knights. 

Faulkton Area’s Logan Niederbaumer, Max Martinmaas, Cole Noon and Korbin Stark won the 3,200-meter relay (9:14.32). 

Leola’s Jacob Kindelspire won the shot put (48-0.5). Mobridge-Pollock’s Jesse Schneider won the high jump (5-8). Stanley County’s Paxton Deal won the long jump (20-8). 

Timber Lake’s Holden Gill won the 800-meter run (2:11.87).
