PHILIP - Behind nine individual champions the Philip/Kadoka Area/Wall wrestling team easily won the team title at Friday’s Philip Invitational. 

The Brawlers scored 276.5 points, ahead of Rapid City Stevens (152.5) and Gordon-Rushville, Nebraska (150.5). Hot Springs (117) and Custer (96.5) rounded out the top five teams. 

Philip/Kadoka Area/Wall’s champions were Cannin Snyder (106), Shay Weber (113), Chance Wagner (126), Kason Berry (132), Jace Blasius (157), Tyce Gropper (165), Kale Crowser (175), Ethan Harris (190) and Jensen Fitch (215). 

Bennett County had two champions in Maddux Risse (120) and Gavin Risse (150).

The other title claimed by a South Dakota title went to Lakoa Tech’s Zaniyan Iron Eyes (138).
