Bridgewater-Emery 48, Hanson 45

ALEXANDRIA — Bridgewater-Emery edged Hanson for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Bridgewater-Emery’s Ben Weber scored 16 points, while Camdyn Stoterau had 14 points. Jase Kayser logged 12 points. 

Hanson’s Jayce Slaba and A.J. Wilber scored 16 points apiece. Wilber hauled in eight rebounds. 


Castlewood 80, Iroquois/Lake Preston 34

LAKE PRESTON — Three players scored in double figures to pace Class B No. 3 Castlewood to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Jamison Keszler finished with 22 points. Bryon Laue and Lane Tvedt scored 16 points apiece. Kabren Jackson scored six points and Bennett Johnson added five points.

For ILP, Lucas Peskey scored 13 points. Ryne Greene added nine points and Rexton Blue scored six points. 


Howard 55, Ethan 44

HOWARD — Three players scored in double figures to pace Howard to a boys basketball win on Friday.

Howard’s Luke Koepsell finished with 20 points, while Logan Mentele had 16 points. Kolt Koepsell added 14 points. 

Ethan’s Jack Bartscher finished with 10 points. Rylan Gerlach added nine points and Braedon Nebelsick scored eight points. Taite Klumb had seven points and Drake Gustafson scored six points. 


De Smet 70, Colman-Egan 30 

COLMAN — Class B No. 4 De Smet coasted to a boys basketball win on Friday.

De Smet’s Tom Aughenbaugh logged 20 points and hit three 3-pointers. Britt Carlson recorded 16 points, while George Jensen had nine points. Grant Wilkinson had seven points and six boards. Trace VanRegenmorter and Kadyn Fast scored six points apiece.

Colman-Egan’s Jesse Mousel scored 19 points, while Jackson Zwart had nine points and four rebounds. Jackson Wright had eight rebounds. 


Freeman 78, Avon 62

AVON — Four players scored in double figures as Freeman picked up a road win over Avon in boys basketball action Friday. 

Rocky Amman led Freeman with 25 points. Luke Peters scored 12 points and Tate Sorenson added 11 points, six rebounds and seven assists. David Walter chipped in with ten points. 

Aziah Meyer led Avon with 19 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Landon Thury also added 19 points for the Pirates. 


Winner 58, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton 29 

PLANKINTON — Winner coasted past Mt. Vernon/Plankinton for a boys basketball win on Friday.

MVP’s Zach Baker scored 17 points.

Winner stats were not reported. 


Waubay-Summit 53, Warner 41

WARNER — Waubay-Summit held off Warner for a boys basketball win on Friday.

Waubay-Summit’s Traveion Neilan finished with 20 points and five steals. Jackson Wohlleber added 19 points. Jared Purdy posted five points. 

Warner stats were not reported. 


Takini 65, Tiospaye Topa 55

MITCHELL — Takini held off Tiospaye Topa for a boys basketball win at the Dakota Oyate Challenge on Friday.

Takini’s Ted Eagle scored 23 points and Logan Quilt added 18 points. Cody Pederson finished with 17 points.

For Tiospaye Topa, Kaden Rousseau finished with 17 points and Laken Traversie scored 16 points. Jesse Talks had nine points and Jakolby Rousseau logged eight points. 


Wakpala 63, Flandreau Indian 30 

MITCHELL — Wakpala pulled away from Flandreau Indian for a boys basketball win at the Dakota Oyate Challenge on Friday. 

Wakpala’s Lane Cadotte scored 17 points and Keenen Finley finished with 12 points. Antoine Mellette scored 11 points and Zachary Moran added 10 points. 

Flandreau Indian’s Elijah Chief Eagle scored 13 points and Genio White Hawk had eight points. 


Gregory 44, Jones County 37 (OT) 

MURDO — A balanced scoring effort helped Gregory pick up an overtime win against Jones County in boys basketball action Friday. 

Noah Bearshield led Gregory with 17 points. Cruz Klundt added 14 points and Daniel Mitchell pitched in with nine points. 

Cooper Feddersen led Jones County with 19 points. Gunnar Whitney added nine points for the Coyotes. 


Viborg-Hurley 85, Alcester-Hudson 43

ALCESTER — Three players scored in double-figures and ten players scored as Class B No. 1 Viborg-Hurley coasted to a win over Alcester-Hudson in boys basketball action Friday. 

Nick Hanson powered Viborg-Hurley with 18 points and 19 rebounds. Brady Schroedermeier added 16 points and four rebounds Nolan Kolthoff finished with 14 points, three rebounds and three assists. 

Ethan Bovill led Alcester-Hudson with16 points.
