Kimball/White Lake Nationals 10, Plankinton Bankers 3

PLANKINTON — Ethan and Mitchell Price combined for 17 strikeouts as Kimball/White Lake defeated Plankinton in Pony Hills League action Tuesday.

Mitchell Price took the majority of the work with 5.1 shutout innings, allowing four hits and three walks while striking out eight. Ethan Price tossed 3.2 innings, allowing three runs on one hit and five walks, fanning nine batters. Dylanger Pierson led the Nationals with three hits, two walks, and two RBIs, Jaxon Christensen, Dylan Konechne and Keaton Christensen each drove in two runs on a hit, combining for five walks, while Caleb Crist added two hits in the win.

For Plankinton, Hunter Pranger got the start allowing six runs on five hits and four walks in three innings. Thomas Stange and Cole Pranger each drove in a run on one hit while Keagan Hill, Pranger and Devin Mehlhaff each tallied a hit in the loss.


Madison Dairy Queen Broncos 5, Flandreau Blue Teal 3

MADISON — Matt Burpee’s walk-off home run lifted Madison to a Cornbelt League victory over Flandreau Tuesday.

Burpee also tallied a walk along with two RBIs on the home run, Ty Jorgenson drove in two runs on two hits, including a double, while Trey Smith had one hit and one walk in the win. Tyler Tappe took the victory on the mound allowing one urn on three hits and four walks in five innings, striking out seven.

For Flandreau, Kolby Peters took the loss, allowing two runs on one hit and two walks in 0.2 innings of relief. Dane Mediger drove in a run on two hits, Tash Lunday had two RBIs on a double, while Mason Riley, Michael Witte, Tristan Van Wassenhove, Sam Gassman each tallied hits in the loss.

 

Dell Rapids Mudcats 6 , Hartford/Humboldt Gamecocks 5

HUMBOLDT — Nolan Burchill struck out 11 batters as the Dell Rapids Mudcats outlasted Hartford/Humboldt in Cornbelt League action Tuesday.

Burchill allowed four runs on six hits and a walk in 6.2 innings, striking out 11 batters. Ty Hoglund drove in two runs on two hits, one double, and one walk, Reece Arbogast added two RBIs on one hit, while Treyse Eastman drove in a run on one hit in the win. Seth Anderson added an RBI walk while Josh Roeman totaled two hits as well.

For the Gamecocks, Blake Svoboda allowed one run on two hits and a walk in five innings, striking out 10 batters. Kyle Konechne tallied three hits, Svoboda had two RBIs on a hit and a walk, while Devon Garry drove in a run on one hit as well.


Canova Gang 17, Flandreau Cardinals 8

FLANDREAU — Canova pounded out 20 hits as the Gang defeated Flandreau in Cornbelt League action Tuesday.

Jared and Justin Miller each drove in three runs on three hits, Kendall Gassman had three hits, two walks, and two RBIs, Tyler Genzlinger and Luke Koepsell each drove in a run on two hits, Riley Genzlinger had an RBI on two walks and one hit, while Jason Miller collected two hits in the win as well. Jared Miller took the win on the mound allowing one run on five hits and four walks in five innings, striking out 11 batters.

For Flandreau, Dallas Schneiderman allowed nine rubs on 13 hits and two walks in five innings, striking out two. Jacob Patterson drove in a run on two hits, Brian McGuire drove in two runs on a hit and a walk, Austin Koenig, Austin King and Kellan Culbert each drove in a run on one hit, while Tim Huber and Luke Gassman each tallied two hits in the loss.

 

Dell Rapids PBR 9, Colman A’s 2

DELL RAPIDS — PBR pounded out 15 hits and Drew Sweeter tossed seven shutout innings as Dell Rapids defeated Colman in Cornbelt League action Tuesday.

Zack Puetz had three doubles and an RBI, Nate Nichols tallied three hits and an RBI as well, Beau Behrend drove in a run on two hits, Sweeter, Cris Kropuenske and Tim Wilhelmsen each drove in a run on one hit while Brayden Pankonen and Conner Spindler each tallied two hits in the win. Riley Calhoon drove in a run on a sac-fly as well. Sweeter tossed seven shutout innings, allowing six hits while striking out five.

For Colman, Chris Burke allowed six runs on nine hits and a walk in 2.2 innings, fanning two batters. Chris Meyer collected three hits, while Carter Roach and Chase DeWitt each had two hits in the loss. Burke drove in a run on one hit as well.


Hartford/Humboldt Wood Ducks 6, Salem Cubs 4

SALEM — The Hartford/Humboldt Wood Ducks outlasted the Salem Cubs in Cornbelt League amateur baseball action on Tuesday. 

HH’s Hayden Whiting finished with two hits and drove in two runs. Rayce Whiting drove in a run, while Braden Herr, Clint Den Boer and Chase Vessells added hits. Andrew Zimmer earned the win, striking out three batters, allowing one hit and three walks in three innings.

For Salem, Jon Forster, Bobby Koepsell and Tyler Cleveland each had two hits. Cleveland, Forster and Kyle Tuschen each drove in runs. Owen Alley added a hit. Isaac Anderson took the loss, allowing three hits, two earned runs, three walks and struck out zero batters in five innings. 


Alexandria Angels 11, Parkston Mudcats 3

PARKSTON — Alex Ferrin’s 12-strikeout performance led Alexandria to a Sunshine League victory over Parkston Tuesday.

Ferrin took the victory on the mound, allowing three runs on seven hits and four walks in six innings pitched, striking out a game-high 12 batters. Pierce Smith drove in three runs on two hits and a walk, Landon Ruesink connected on a solo home run, Tyson and Jordan Gau each drove in two runs on one hit, including a solo home run from Tyson Gau, while Peyton Smith and Jacob Giles each tallied a hit, walk, and RBI in the win. Jerrod Zens and Jackson Jarding each recorded two hits in the win as well.

For Parkston, Nate Doering took the loss, allowing three runs on five walks in 0.2 innings of his start. Jeff Harris drove in a run on three hits, Luke Bormann tallied an RBI on two hits and a walk, while Brady Nolz drove in a run on two walks in the loss.


Harrisburg Woodies 3, Baltic River Dawgs 2

BALTIC — Jack Sutton’s eighth-inning RBI single powered Harrisburg to a Sioux Empire League victory over Baltic Tuesday.

Sutton drove in a run on two hits, including a double in the win. Isaac Loosmore tallied two hits while Mark Abrahamson drove in a run in the win. Four different pitchers combined for 17 strikeouts in the win, with Maddox Plack tossing seven in five innings, allowing an unearned run on two hits and four walks.


Tea Steam 3, Larchwood (Iowa) Diamonds 2

LARCHWOOD — Cameron Jensen struck out 14 batters as Tea defeated Larchwood in State Line League action Tuesday.

Jensen allowed just two runs on three hits and two walks in six innings pitched, fanning 14 batters. Troy Ljunggren drove in two runs on a homer, Nathan Babb had an RBI, while Jensen recorded three hits, one double, in the win.

For Larchwood, Kyle Jensen allowed three runs on five hits and four walks in 4.1 innings, striking out six. Keaton Everaged drove in a run on two hits while Mitch Peschon had an RBI single in the loss as well.


Yankton Lakers 14, Mitchell Aces 4 (8 innings)

YANKTON — Lucas Kampshoff, Mac Ryken and Waylon McKnight each drove in three runs as Yankton defeated Mitchell in non-league action Tuesday.

Kampshoff batted 2-for-4 with two walks, two doubles, and three RBIs, McKnight added two hits, one double, and three RBIs, Mac Ryken added two doubles, a walk, and three RBIs, Drew Ryken collected two hits, a walk, and two RBIs, while Rugby Ryken had two hits in the win. Drew Ryken earned the victory on the mound allowing two unearned runs on two hits in six innings, striking out five.

For Mitchell, Blake Brosz allowed six runs on seven hits and seven walks in five innings, striking out four. Carter Miller had two hits while Karter Sibson drove in a run on one hit in the loss.
