Dell Rapids 8, Wishek (N.D.) 0 (6 innings)

CLARK — Cole Ruesink struck out nine batters in Dell Rapids’ Clark Rotary Tournament win Friday.

Ruesink allowed just one hit and one walk in six innings of work, striking out nine batters to take the win on the mound. Drake Eastman drove in a pair of runs on two hits, Tad Tjaden added an RBI on a hit and a walk, Talan Millage recorded an RBI single while Ruesink and Gauge Bunkers each tallied two hits in the win.


Lennox 3, Hankinson-Lidgerwood (N.D.) 0

CLARK — Cole Spieler’s no-hitter lifted Lennox to a Legion baseball victory at the Clark Rotary Tournament Friday.

Spieler allowed just five walks in seven innings, striking out nine to take the victory on the mound. Spieler also drove in two runs on one hit while Jackson Anacker added an RBI on a hit and two walks in the win as well.


Parkston 8, Madison 0 (6 innings)

CLARK — Kash Neugebauer tossed an 11-strikeout one-hitter as Parkston blanked Madison in Legion action at the Clark Rotary Tournament Friday.

Neugebauer allowed just one hit and four walks in six shutout innings, striking out 11 in the win. Taite Klumb launched a two-run homer, Sean Deckert added two hits, a walk, and two RBIs, Drew Braley drove in a run on one hit while Mason Jervik, James Deckert, Kolter Kramer and Trey Boettcher each had a hit in the win.

For Madison, Quincy Kurtz allowed eight runs on eight hits and four walks in five innings, striking out seven. Cohen Hahn tallied the only hit of the game for Madison.


Colton 5, Devils Lake (N.D.) 4

CLARK — Colton held on to beat Devils Lake, North Dakota, at the Clark Rotary Tournament Friday.

Nathan Madison drove in two runs on two hits, Aiden Bunde had two RBIs, Carter Sorenson recorded two hits and a walk while Brody Dybvig, Tristen Bunde and Landon Schenkel each had hits in the win. Schenkel took the victory on the mound in four innings, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks, striking out three.


Lisbon (N.D.) 10, Madison 9

CLARK — Madison lost to Lisbon, North Dakota, in walk-off fashion at the Clark Rotary Tournament Friday.

Casyn Crabtree took the loss, surrendering one run on three hits and a walk in two innings. Cale Johnson and Ryland Johnson both drove in two runs on two hits, Quinn Flemming added two hits and an RBI while Tregg McGillivray and Quincy Kurtz each had an RBI, combining for three walks in the loss.


Vermillion 7, Dakota Valley 6 (8 innings)

VERMILLION — A Dakota Valley error pushed Vermillion to a walk-off victory in Legion action Friday.

Connor Peterson took the victory on the mound in two shutout innings, striking out two batters. Jack Moskowitz drove in a run on two hits and a walk, Mikey Roob added two hits and a walk, Corbin Heckens and Ryan Vitt each had an RBI on a combined three walks, while Teddy Nesmith tallied an RBI on a hit and a walk in the win.

For DV, Noah Graham allowed one run on one hit and one walk in 1.1 innings, striking out one in the loss. Graham had four hits and an RBI, Sterling Schauff tallied three RBIs on one hit, Jack Wise added two hits and an RBI while Grady Ramos recorded two hits in the loss.

 

Platte/Geddes 6, Winner/Colome 5

PLATTE — Platte/Geddes scored six unanswered runs to beat Winner/Colome in Legion action Friday.

Keaton Christiansen tallied two hits and two RBIs, Asher Kott drove in two runs on one hit, Jye Bailey recorded a hit and an RBI while Maddux VanZee tallied two hits in the win. Hayden Sprik tossed 5.2 innings for PG, allowing five runs on six hits and four walks in 5.2 innings, striking out nine.

For WC, Landon Calhoon allowed six unearned runs on seven hits in six innings, striking out seven in the loss. Dylan Brandis drove in three runs on a double and a walk, Landon Calhoon totaled an RBI on one hit and one walk while Ryder Haligan tallied a solo home run in the loss.

 

Clark/Willow Lake 6, Wishek (N.D.) 1

CLARK — Watson Grantham tossed 11 strikeouts as Clark/Willow Lake defeated Wishek, North Dakota, at the Clark Rotary Tournament Friday.

Grantham allowed just one unearned run on three hits and a walk in seven innings, striking out 11 in the win. Tyson Huber tallied two triples and an RBI, Collin Gaikowski added two RBIs on one hit, Jack Helkenn had two walks and an RBI, while Will Hovde, Josh Kannegieter and Ky Vandersnick each tallied a hit in the win.


Broken Bow (Neb.) 11, Milbank 0 (5 innings)

MILBANK — Milbank fell in its first game at the American Legion Centennial Classic Friday.

Reese Rabe allowed eight runs on six hits and three walks in four innings, striking out five. Mack Koplin tallied the only hit of the game for Milbank.


Pierre 6, Watertown 5 (8 innings)

PIERRE — Dawson Getz’s RBI single pushed Pierre to a walk-off win over Watertown in Legion action Friday.

Ridge Leimbach tallied three hits and an RBI, Cooper Terwilliger and Carter Schiefelbein each tallied two hits, Getz had an RBI on two hits while Sutton Sonnenschein and Charlie Simpson each recorded an RBI on one hit in the win. Getz took the victory on the mound, allowing two hits in one inning of relief, striking out one.

For Watertown, Nathan Briggs allowed three runs on five hits and a walk in 1.2 innings, striking out one. Mitch Olson and Briggs each tallied two hits and an RBI, Markus Pitkin had a hit and two RBIs while Hayden Ries recorded two hits in the loss.


Watertown 9, Pierre 4

PIERRE — Johnathan Lake, Kaden Rylance and Mitch Olson combined for seven RBIs as Watertown split a Legion double header with Pierre Friday.

Lake drove in three runs on three hits, including a triple, Rylance and Olson each had two hits, a double, and two RBIs while Markus Pitkin recorded an RBI on two hits in the win. Jackson McClemans allowed four runs on eight hits and three walks in a complete game on the mound to take the win.

For Pierre, Porter Hunsley allowed six runs on 12 hits in six innings, striking out two in the loss. Cooper Terwilliger and Trevor Rounds each drove in a run on one hit while Carter Schiefelbein and Grayson Hunsley each tallied two hits in the loss.


Hauptman O’Brien North (Neb.) 7, Brookings 6

MAPLE GROVE — Brookings gave up four runs in the last inning to lose in walk-off fashion in the Gopher Classic Friday.

Tre Christopherson took the loss, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks in 1.1 innings. Jay Harris drove in two runs on a triple, Jon Kahler tallied an RBI on one hit while Tyson Antonen, Talon Hyde, Maxten Jensen and Tane Friedrich each tallied a hit in the loss.


Brookings 7, East Ridge (Minn.) 5

MAPLE GROVE — Kysin Reuer tossed 5.2 strong innings to power Brookings to a Legion baseball victory at the Gopher Classic Friday.

Reuer allowed one run on two hits and five walks in 5.2 innings, striking out five in the win. Tre Christopherson drove in two runs on one hit, Cooper Schneider had two hits, two walks and an RBI while Jase Bauer, Tyson Antonen, and Ryder Anderson each drove in a run in the win.


Bemidji (Minn.) 11, Aberdeen 3 (5 innings)

ELKO NEW MARKET — Lance Siefken tallied three hits in Aberdeen’s loss at the Gopher Classic Friday.

Siefken batted 3-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI, Ridley Waldo and Jaxon Ladner each drove in a run while Jehiel Aviles, Grant Beyer and Joe Cogley each tallied hits in the loss. Michael Dutenhoffer allowed seven runs on four hits and two walks in one inning, striking out two.


Rapid City Post 22 9, Renner Royals 1 (6 innings)

VICTORIA — Jadon Moreno tossed six strong innings in Rapid City Post 22’s win over Renner in Legion action Friday at the Gopher Classic.

Moreno allowed one unearned run on three hits and a walk in six innings, striking out six to take the win on the mound. Aiden Roberts drove in two runs on a triple and a walk, Dexter Steen and Dawson Inhofer each had two hits and an RBI, Carter Johnson tallied an RBI on a hit and two walks  while Wyatt Reeder drove in a run on a walk in the win.

For Renner, Rylan Arbogast allowed eight runs on eight hits and seven walks in four innings to take the loss. Jack Stukel, Brody Jacobsen and Sam Donohoe each tallied hits in the loss.


Rapid City Post 22 11, Wayzata (Minn.) 0 (5 innings)

VICTORIA — A seven-run inning pushed Rapid City Post 22 to a Gopher Classic victory Friday.

Wyatt Reeder tallied three hits, a triple, and two RBIs, Aiden Roberts recorded three RBIs on two hits, a triple, and a walk, while Kain McLeod, Jace Morgan, Dexter Steen and Brody Thompson each tallied an RBI on one hit in the win. Rowan Fredrickson was two walks shy of a perfect game, tossing five no-hit innings while striking out one.


Rapid City Post 320 9, Hamel (Minn.) 4

WOODBURY — Tegan Sayles and Ethan Wilson combined for seven hits in Rapid City Post 320’s Gopher Classic win Friday.

Sayles batted 4-for-4 with an RBI, Wilson added three hits, a walk and an RBI, Jhett Peterson recorded two hits and an RBI, Anders Lockhart and Max Speed each had an RBI on one hit while Ayden Byrd recorded two hits in the win. Noah Wald tossed six innings for Post 320, allowing three runs on three hits and two walks, striking out three.


Rapid City Post 320 14, Woodbury (Minn.) 0 (5 innings)

WOODBURY — An 11-run inning pushed Rapid City Post 320 to two wins at the Gopher Classic Friday.

Colton Mehlhaff and Jhett Peterson each tallied two hits and two RBIs, including two doubles from Peterson, Noah Wald added three hits and an RBI, Ayden Byrd recorded an RBI on two hits, Max Speed tallied two RBIs, Morgan Delapena, Ethan Wilson and Anders Lockhart tallied an RBI on one hit and one walk, while Tegan Sayles recorded two hits in the win. Alijah Ballard tossed five shutout innings for Rapid City, allowing one hit and four walks while striking out four.


Elk River (Minn.) 9, Harrisburg Gold 1 (5 innings)

NORTH ST. PAUL — Harrisburg lost in its first game at the Gopher Classic Friday.

Rylan Boe drove in one run on one hit while Michael Oakland and Eli Kokenge each tallied a hit in the loss. Ethan Beek took the loss, allowing six runs on four hits and seven walks in three innings, striking out four.


Holmen (Wis.) 9, Harrisburg Gold 4

NORTH ST. PAUL — Taten Munce drove in two runs as Harrisburg lost in its second game at Friday’s Gopher Classic.

Munce drove in two runs on two hits while Ethan Beek, Eli Kokenge, Michael Oakland and Kade Wede each tallied a hit in the loss. Griffen Schlapkohl allowed three runs on two hits and eight walks in four innings, striking out three to take the loss on the mound.


Excelsior (Minn.) 5, Huron 4 (9 innings)

MINNETONKA — Huron lost to Excelsior, Minnesota, in a walk-off fashion at Friday’s Gopher Classic. 

Huron’s Trace Wenz and Bubba Peterson finished with two hits apiece, while Peterson drove in two runs. Logan Leyendecker and Cooper Bischoff each drove in runs. Anderson Porisch, Layne Wenzel, Brady Feenstra and Oakley Anderson each had hits. Feenstra took the loss, allowing two hits, one earned run, zero walks and struck out zero batters in 0.1 relief innings. 


Helena (Mont.) 5, Huron 1

MINNETONKA — Huron lost to Helena, Montana, at Friday’s Gopher Classic. 

Huron’s Cooper Bischoff finished with two hits. Trace Wenz, Logan Leyendecker, Bubba Peterson, Chase Schuchardt and Layne Wenzel each had hits. Brady Feenstra took the loss after allowing nine hits, five earned runs, two walks and struck out zero batters in six innings. 


Bloomington (Minn.) 7, Brandon Valley 4

BLOOMINGTON — Bryton Stroh drove in two runs as Brandon Valley fell short in its first game at the Gopher Classic Friday.

Stroh tallied two hits, one double, and two RBIs, while Ryder Mueller, Ryland Carroll and Cooper Ness each tallied a hit in the loss. Christopher Joseph surrendered seven runs on six hits and four walks in 4.1 innings, striking out four in the losing effort as well.
