LaMoure (N.D.) 8, Milbank 3

MILBANK — Milbank fell during the second day of the American Legion Centennial Classic Saturday.

Joe Schulte took the loss, surrendering five runs on two hits and four walks in two innings, striking out one. Schulte tallied two hits, a walk and an RBI. Josh Pederson had an RBI on a hit and a walk, while Mack Koplin had an RBI in the loss as well.


Clark/Willow Lake 4, Hankinson-Lidgerwood (N.D.) 1

CLARK — Cooper Pommer tossed six shutout innings as Clark/Willow Lake defeated Hankinson-Lidgerwood at the Clark Rotary Tournament Saturday.

Pommer allowed just one hit in six shutout innings, striking out six in the win.

Tyson Huber had two hits and an RBI, Jack Helkenn recorded an RBI on one hit, Damian Severson tallied an RBI on a walk while Pommer and Jakob Steen each recorded a hit in the win.


Groton 18, Wishek (N.D.) 4 (3 innings)

CLARK — Alex Abeln, Teylor Diegel and Korbin Kucker combined for nine RBIs as Groton won in mercy rule fashion at the Clark Rotary Tournament.

Abeln recorded three hits and three RBIs, Diegel added two hits, two walks and three RBIs while Kucker drove in three runs on a double and a walk. Lincoln Krause tallied three hits, a double, and an RBI, Gavin Englund had two hits, while Braxton Imrie, Nick Groeblinghoff, Carter Simon and Brevin Fliehs each drove in a run on one hit in the win.


Madison 7, Salem 6

CLARK — Jordan Pedersen’s seventh-inning RBI single lifted Madison over Salem for a win at the Clark Rotary tournament Saturday.

Pedersen tallied three hits, a double, and a homer, driving in four total runs in the win, Braylon Oftedal added an RBI on one hit while Cohen Hahn, Casyn Crabtree and Jake Wieman each tallied a hit in the win. Oftedal took the win on the mound, allowing five runs on eight hits and three walks in 6.2 innings, striking out three.

For Salem, Carter Randall allowed seven runs on seven hits in seven innings of work, striking out three. Shea Klinkhammer drove in a run on three hits, Conner Heiberger and Korbin Shumaker each drove in two runs on one hit, while four other batters tallied a hit in the loss.


Devils Lake (N.D.) 8, Parkston 2

CLARK — Parkston fell to Devils Lake, North Dakota, at the Clark Rotary Tournament Saturday.

Taite Klumb tallied two hits while Mason Jervik, Carter Sommer, James Deckert, Kolter Kramer, Drew Braley and Jaxx Kurtenbach each tallied one hit in the loss. Jervik took the loss allowing four runs on five walks in one inning of work.


Lisbon (N.D.) 7, Colton 4

CLARK — Colton gave up four runs in the last inning to lose to Lisbon, North Dakota at the Clark Rotary Tournament Saturday.

Tristen Bunde allowed six runs on 11 hits and a walk in six innings, striking out three. Mason Hemme, Denton Bicknase and Braxton Allen each drove in a run on two hits while Landon Schenkel added an RBI in the loss.


Dell Rapids 10, Lennox 2 (5 innings)

CLARK — Connor Hanson drove in a trio of runs as Dell Rapids took down Lennox in the final game at the Clark Rotary Tournament.

Hanson batted 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, Cole Ruesink had one hit while Drake Eastman, Gauge Bunkers, Talan Millage, Lincoln Fersdahl and Mathew Nelson each drove in a run on a combined six walks in the win. Eastman took the win on the mound in five innings, allowing two unearned runs on two hits and four walks, striking out seven.
For Lennox, Jackson Anacker allowed five runs on two hits and four walks in four innings, striking out six. Cole Spieler drove in a run while Anacker and Nate Haar each had hits in the loss.


Brandon Valley 9, Rosemount Blue (Minn.) 3

BLOOMINGTON — Bryton Stroh tossed six strong innings as Brandon Valley beat Rosemount Blue at the Gopher Classic Saturday.

Stroh gave up just three runs on six hits and two walks in six innings, striking out five in the win. Caleb Severin drove in a run on two hits, Will VanLeur and Christopher Joesph each had two RBIs on one hit, while Ryland Carroll, Stroh and Jack Blomgren each collected an RBI on one hit in the win.


Blaine (Minn.) 12, Brandon Valley 4

BLOOMINGTON — Brandon Valley fell to Blaine, Minnesota, at the Gopher Classic Friday.

Bryton Stroh tallied an RBI double, Ryland Carroll recorded two hits while Brayden Knutson, Ryder Mueller and Caleb Severin each had hits in the loss. Will VanLeur allowed five runs on two hits and six walks in 3.1 innings, striking out one.


Alexandria (Minn.) 11, Harrisburg Gold 3

NORTH ST. PAUL — Darren Safranski tossed 10 strikeouts in Harrisburg’s loss to Alexandria, Minnesota, at the Gopher Classic Saturday.

Safranski allowed two runs on three hits and five walks in five innings, striking out 10. Ty Raymond took the loss, surrendering four runs on three hits and a walk in 0.1 innings. Michael Oakland tallied two hits, a double, and an RBI, Noah Boschee drove in a run, while Rylan Boe collected an RBI on one hit in the win as well.


Harrisburg Gold 11, North St. Paul (Minn.) 0 (5 innings)

NORTH ST. PAUL — Taten Munce drove in three runs in Harrisburg’s mercy rule win over North St. Paul Saturday.

Munce tallied three hits, a triple, and three RBIs, Ty Raymond and Michael Oakland each had two hits and two RBIs, including two doubles from Oakland, while Bryson Esser tallied two hits and an RBI in the win. Kade Wede took the win on the mound tossing five shutout innings, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out nine.


East Grand Forks (N.D.) 5, Huron 2

MINNETONKA — Huron fell to East Grand Forks, North Dakota, in Saturday’s Gopher Classic.

Anderson Porisch tallied two hits and an RBI, Layne Wenzel collected an RBI on one hit, while Logan Leyendecker recorded two hits in the loss. Bubba Peterson allowed four runs on eight hits and three walks in five innings, striking out five.


Lincoln (Neb.) 7, Huron 3

MINNETONKA — Huron fell to Lincoln, Nebraska at Saturday’s Gopher Classic.

Logan Leyendecker allowed six runs on six hits and three walks in 2.2 innings, striking out one in the losing effort. Anderson Porisch tallied two hits, one triple, and an RBI, Layne Wenzel recorded two RBIs on one hit while Brady Feenstra, Chase Schuchhardt and Oakley Anderson each tallied a hit in the loss.


Rapid City Post 22 17, Lakeville South (Minn.) 1 (5 innings)

VICTORIA — Brody Thomspon and Carter Johnson each tallied three RBIs as Rapid City Post 22 defeated Lakeville South in the Gopher Classic Saturday.

Thompson tallied two hits, a double and three RBIs, Johnson drove in three runs on a walk, Jace Morgan and Wyatt Reeder each tallied two hits and an RBI, Kain McLeod had two RBIs on one hit, Aiden Roberts and Dexter Steen each drove in a run on a hit and a walk while Dawson Inhofer and McCoy Rippentrop each tallied an RBI on a combined three walks. Declan Mickley allowed one unearned run on two hits in four innings, striking out seven.


Rapid City Post 22 6, Burnsville (Neb.) 4

VICTORIA — Rapid City Post 22 scored five unanswered runs to stun Burnsville, Nebraska, in the Gopher Classic Saturday.

Wyatt Reeder tallied three hits, a walk and an RBI, Josh Elder drove in two runs on a double and a walk, Dawson Inhofer and Aiden Roberts each drove in a run on one hit, while Dexter Steen had an RBI on a walk in the win. Ryan Neugebauer took the win on the mound, allowing four runs on six hits and four walks in five innings, striking out six.


Renner Royals 8, Burnsville (Neb.) 0

VICTORIA — Paxon Sohn struck out nine batters in a five-hit shutout at Saturday’s Gopher Classic. 

Sohn issued three walks on 103 pitches and faced 26 batters. 

Renner’s Brogan Moffitt finished with three of the team’s nine hits. Owen Lechtenberg and Brody Jacobson had two hits and drove in two runs apiece. Patrick Barnett, Alex Jaspers, Jack Stukel and Jackson Bjorkman each drove in runs. 


Renner Royals 8, Hauptman O’Brien (Neb.) 5

VICTORIA — Jackson Bjorkman struck out 13 batters in Renner’s second victory at the Gopher Classic Saturday.

Bjorkman tossed 6.1 innings, allowing four runs on four hits and two walks, striking out 13 in the winning effort. Parker Scheidt drove in two runs on a double, Brody Jacobsen and Zach Sprenkle each drove in a run on one hit while Rylan Arbogast had two walks and an RBI in the win.


Rapid City Post 320 5, White Bear Lake (Minn.) 0

WOODBURY — Rapid City Post 320’s Laadon Faatz threw a five-hit shutout against White Bear Lake, Minnesota, at Saturday’s Gopher Classic. 

Faatz struck out five batters and issued zero walks on 82 pitches. Rapid City’s Max Speed finished with three hits and drove in one run. Ayden Byrd and Anders Lockhart both had two hits, while Lockhart drove in a run. Colton Mehlhaff, Jhett Peterson and Noah Wald each had hits. Wald and Ethan Wilson drove in runs. 


Rapid City Post 320 5, Chaska (Minn.) 0 

WOODBURY — Rapid City Post 320 used a four-run sixth inning to put away Chaska, Minnesota, at Saturday’s Gopher Classic. 

Rapid City’s Ayden Byrd, Max Speed and Nolan Williamson finished with hits. Ethan Wilson drove in two runs, while Tegan Sayles and Colby Wit each drove in runs. Anders Lockhart struck out three batters, allowed one hit, zero runs and three walks in 2.2 innings. 


Manitoba (Can.) 4, Brookings 2

MAPLE GROVE — Brookings dropped a two-run decision at Saturday’s Gopher Classic. 

Brookings’ Cooper Schneider finished with two of the team’s five hits and drove in a run. Winston Plummer, Tyson Antonen and Jon Kahler each had hits. Kahler drove in a run. Ryan Lockrem took the loss, allowing eight hits, three earned runs, four walks and struck out one batter in six innings. 


Brookings 14, Maple Grove (Minn.) 12 (8 innings)

MAPLE GROVE — A three-run eighth inning lifted Brookings to a Gopher Classic win over Maple Grove, Minnesota, Saturday.

Talon Hyde drove in three runs on three hits, Winston Plummer had two hits, a walk and three RBIs, Tre Christopherson tallied two hits and two RBIs, Jon Kahler added an RBI on three hits and a walk, Tyson Antonen recorded two hits and an RBI, while Jay Harris had two RBIs on a double in the win. Nolan Wagner tossed four innings for Brookings, allowing 10 runs on seven hits and three walks, striking out four.


Hamline (Minn.) 11, Aberdeen 6

ELKO NEW MARKET — The Aberdeen Smittys gave up a 10-run second inning en route to a five-run loss at Saturday’s Gopher Classic. 

Aberdeen’s Lance Siefken, Grant Beyer and Levi Hoffman finished with two hits apiece. Joran Foss and Jehiel Aviles drove in two runs apiece. Riley Waldo, Jared Klootwyk, and Jaxon Ladner each had hits. Klootwyk took the loss, allowing seven hits, seven earned runs, zero walks and zero strikeouts in one innings. 


Plover (Wisc.) 3, Aberdeen 2

ELKO NEW MARKET — The Aberdeen Smittys fell to Plover, Wisconsin, on a walk-off bunt at Saturday’s Gopher Classic. 

Aberdeen’s Karson Barge, Lance Siefken, Joran Foss, Ridley Waldo and Joe Cogley each collected hits. Bennett Eisenbeisz took the loss after allowing six hits, three earned runs, three walks and struck out one batter in 6.1 innings.
