Aberdeen 18, Sturgis 5 (5 innings)

STURGIS — Lance Siefken drove in five runs in Aberdeen’s game one mercy rule win over Sturgis Friday.

Siefken batted 2-for-3 with two doubles and five RBIs in the win. Ridley Waldo drove in three runs on two hits, Karson Borge tallied two RBIs on two hits and a walk, Joran Foss added two RBIs on a hit and a walk, Grant Beyer and Michael Dutenhoffer each drove in a run on one hit while Jehiel Aviles tallied three hits and a walk in the win. Foss earned the win on the mound in four innings, allowing five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out five.

For Sturgis, Aidan Wood took the loss, allowing 13 runs on nine hits and five walks. Elijah Stroud drove in three runs on two hits and a walk while Drew Janke added an RBI in the loss.


Aberdeen 15, Sturgis 7

STURGIS —  Aberdeen pounded out 18 hits as it swept Sturgis in Legion action Friday.

Karson Borge drove in three runs on two hits, including a triple, Jehiel Aviles added three hits and two RBIs, Joran Foss collected three RBIs on three hits, Benny Eisenbeisz tallied two RBIs on two hits, Jared Klootwyk tallied three hits and a walk, Lance Siefken drove in three runs on a double and a walk, Joe Cogley tallied an RBI on two hits while Jaxon Ladner added an RBI on one hit in the win. Grant Beyer earned the victory on the mound in five innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits and a walk, striking out three.

For Sturgis, Dalyn Dschaak had three RBIs on two hits, Drew Janke tallied three hits and an RBI, while Brody Royer drove in two on a walk in the loss. Cael Pool allowed 14 runs on 16 hits and three walks in 6.1 innings in the loss for Sturgis.


Lake Norden/Badger 5, Milbank 4

MILBANK — Early offense powered Lake Norden/Badger to a Legion baseball victory over Milbank Friday.

Kamden Keszler tallied an RBI on one hit, Aiden Abraham had two RBIs on one hit while Caleb Drenth tallied two hits in the win. Ted Smith took the win on the mound, allowing four runs on four hits and five walks in five innings, striking out five.

For Milbank, Jayce Jonasen allowed four runs on four hits and two walks in two innings, striking out one. Aiden Kelly had two hits while Tyler Heinje and Mason Meister each drove in a run in the loss.


Madison 8, Alexandria 1

MADISON — Quincy Kurtz gave up just two hits as Madison rolled to a Legion baseball win over Alexandria Friday.

Kurtz allowed just one run on two hits and four walks in six innings of work, striking out five. Jordan Pedersen led the offense with three hits and an RBI, Tregg McGillivray added a two RBI double, Casyn Crabtree tallied two hits and an RBI, Gavin Schneider had two hits, while Carson Wolf, Ryland Johnson and Jake Wieman each drove in a run on one hit in the win.

For Alexandria, Weston Kayser allowed five runs on five hits and a walk in two innings, striking out two. Esten Schlimgen and Ben Wilber each had hits in the loss.


Lennox 3, Vermillion 0

LENNOX — Four different pitchers combined to shutout Vermillion in Lennox’s Legion baseball victory Friday.

Cole Spieler allowed two hits in two innings of work, striking out one for Lennox. Emory Lefers, Jackson Anacker and Talen Eich tossed the remaining four innings, allowing just two hits and two walks in the win. At the plate Jaxon Bittner drove in two runs on two hits while Nate Haar added a single in the win.

For Vermillion, Connor Peterson allowed one run on one hit and one walk in three innings. Peterson had two hits and a walk in the loss.


Scotland/Menno/Freeman/Canistota 4, Salem 2

SALEM — Scotland/Menno/Freeman/Canistota outlasted Salem in Legion action Friday.

Kory Keppen tallied two hits, Riley Tschetter drew two walks and a hit, Rocky Ammann drove in a run while Erick Buechler had an RBI on a walk in the win. Tannen Auch took the win on the mound, allowing three hits in three innings, striking out four.

For Salem, Shea Klinkhammer allowed one run on one hit and three walks in 4.2 innings, striking out three. Cody Lofswold tallied an RBI on two hits and a walk in the loss.


Wagner 4, Tabor 3

WAGNER — The Wagner pitching staff struck out 10 batters as it clipped Tabor in Legion action Friday.

Carter Cournoyer led Wagner with two shutout innings, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out five. Malakai Segura and Octavian Kocer each drove in a run for Wagner, while Edward Ulrich tallied two hits and a walk in the win.

For Tabor, Jace Toupal allowed three runs on two hits and four walks in two innings, striking out two. Madden Merkwan had two hits and an RBI in the loss for Tabor. 


Brandon Valley 9, Huron 2

HURON — Caleb Severin tossed six strong innings as Brandon Valley took game one of a double header with Huron Friday.

Severin allowed just one unearned run on four hits and two walks in six innings, striking out three in the winning effort. Max Peters had two hits and two RBIs, Bryton Stroh drove in two runs on a hit, Jacob Halseth and Christopher Joseph each had two hits and an RBI, while Jack Blomgren netted two hits in the win.

For Huron, Brady Feenstra allowed six runs on eight hits and two walks in 5.1 innings, striking out four. Layne Wenzel had two hits in the loss.


Brandon Valley 8, Huron 4

HURON — Brandon Valley pounded out 14 hits to sweep Huron in Legion double header Friday.

Jack Blomgren tallied three hits and an RBI, Brayden Knutson and Mason Veld each tallied two hits and an RBI, Bryton Stroh collected two hits and two RBIs, while Ryland Carroll and Will VanLeur each tallied an RBI on one hit in the win. Luke Felderman allowed one run on three hits and four walks in six innings, striking out five in the win.

For Huron, Jack Pedersen allowed five runs on 11 hits in five innings, striking out three. Bubba Peterson tallied two RBIs on a hit and a walk, Layne Wenzel drove in a run on one hit while Logan Leyendecker collected two walks and an RBI in the loss.


Harrisburg Gold 5, Brookings 1

BROOKINGS — Kason Syverson struck out eight batters in Harrisburg’s win over Brookings Friday.

Syverson allowed just one run on four hits and two walks in six innings, striking out eight. Darren Safranski tallied three hits, Bryson Esser had two RBIs on two hits, including a homer, while Eli Kokenge tallied two hits, a double, and an RBI in the win.

For Brookings, Tyson Antonen allowed five runs on seven hits and four walks in 5.2 innings, striking out seven. Jay Harris tallied two hits in the loss.


Brookings 4, Harrisburg Gold 3

BROOKINGS — Brookings clipped Harrisburg in game two of Friday’s doubleheader.

Winston Plummer drove in two runs on a hit and a walk, Cooper Schneider had an RBI on a hit and a walk while Jon Kahler had an RBI on two hits and a walk in the win. Kysin Reuer allowed two runs on two hits and six walks in 4.1 innings, striking out four.

For Harrisburg, Darren Safranski allowed four runs on five hits and four walks in 3.2 innings, striking out five. Taten Munce drove in two runs on two hits while Ethan Beek had an RBI on two walks in the loss.


Rapid City Post 22 6, Sioux Falls East 2

SIOUX FALLS — A four-run first inning powered Rapid City Post 22 to a game one win of a Legion doubleheader with Sioux Falls East Friday.

Jaden Moreno allowed two runs on eight hits and four walks in six innings, striking out four. Jace Morgan drove in two runs on one hit and one walk, Jackson Reeder had an RBI on two hits and two walks, Carter Johnson and Brody Thompsen each had an RBI, while Dawson Inhofer tallied an RBI on one hit in the win.

For Sioux Falls, Tommy Peterson allowed four runs on three hits and five walks in four innings, striking out four. Ethan Olson and Colin Lunders each tallied two hits while Caden Sporrer and Kasen Christiansen each drove in a run on one hit in the loss.


Rapid City Post 22 10, Sioux Falls East 9 (8 innings)

SIOUX FALLS — Lars Kieffer’s RBI single in the eighth was the difference as Rapid City Post 22 swept Sioux Falls East in Legion action Friday.

Kieffer finished with two RBIs on two hits, Wyatt Reeder drove in two runs on three hits, a double, triple and a walk, Jackson Reeder collected three hits and a walk, while Dawson Inhofer drove in two runs on a double and three walks in the win. Skyler Montgomery took the win on the mound in three shutout innings, allowing one hit and four walks, striking out three.

For Sioux Falls, Pete Samp allowed six runs on five hits and seven walks in four innings, striking out one to take the loss. Brayden Olson drove in two runs on two hits and a walk, Caden Sporrer drove in a run on two walks, Colin Lunders tallied an RBI on a hit and two walks, while Brody Schafer tallied an RBI on three hits and a walk in the loss.


Sioux Falls West 13, Rapid City Post 320 2 (5 innings)

SIOUX FALLS — Sioux Falls West scored 13 runs in three innings to earn a mercy rule win over Rapid City Post 320 Friday.

Boston Bryant, Beckett Whitlock and Jack Hille each tallied two RBIs on one hit, Noah MacFarlane tallied an RBI on two walks while Jacob Dunn added an RBI on a walk, while Ian Stokes and Mason Payne collected a combined two hits and three walks in the win. Kyler Boyd had two runs on seven hits and a walk in five innings, striking out six.

For RC, Anders Lockhart allowed six runs on two hits and three walks in 0.2 innings, striking out one. Noah Wald tallied two hits while Colton Mehlhaff and Jhett Peterson each had an RBI on one hit in the loss.


Sioux Falls West 7, Rapid City Post 320 1

SIOUX FALLS — Caden Voss tossed seven strong innings to power Sioux Falls West to a sweep over Rapid City Post 320 Friday.

Voss allowed just one unearned run on one hit and one walk in seven innings, striking out eight. Noah MacFarlane tallied two RBIs on two hits, Chris Logue had two hits and an RBI, Boston Bryant and Hugh Barnes each collected an RBI on one one hit while Mason Payne had two hits in the win.

For RC, Laadon Faatz allowed seven runs on nine hits and a walk in 5.1 innings, striking out one. Noah Wald drove in the only run of the game for Post 320.


Watertown 10, Spearfish 0

SPEARFISH — Jackson McClemans tossed seven shutout innings in Watertown’s Legion baseball win over Spearfish Friday.

McClemans allowed four hits and a walk in seven shutout innings, striking out five in the win. Johnathan Lake and Mitch Olson each tallied two RBIs on two hits, Markus Pitkin, Cole Hansen and Nathan Briggs each had two hits and an RBI, Kaden Rylance drove in two runs on a double, while Treyton Himmerich had two hits in the win.

For Spearfish, Walker Viessman allowed eight runs on 12 hits in 5.2 innings, striking out three. Tucker Olson, Jack Branum, Sean Sewell and Viessman each had a hit in the loss.


Watertown 19, Spearfish 2 (5 innings)

SPEARFISH — Mitch Olson tallied six RBIs in Watertown’s sweep over Spearfish Friday.

Olson batted 5-for-5 with a double and six RBIs, Nathan Briggs collected two RBIs on two hits, Max Dylla recorded four RBIs on three hits, two doubles, and an RBI, Hayden Ries tallied three walks and two RBIs, Treyton Himmerich had an RBI on two hits, while Markus Pitkin and Jackson McClemans each tallied two RBIs on one hit in the win. Kooper Heiser took the win on the mound in five innings, allowing two unearned runs on three hits and two walks, striking out seven.

For Spearfish, Jackson Peters-Hatten allowed 11 runs on eight hits and four walks in 0.2 innings. Owen Bruner drove in a run on one hit in the loss.
